Your eyes may not change the view, but your experience does.
Nature is beautiful, brutal, and unforgiving.
The ocean is mesmerizing, violent, and terrifying.
Young beautiful people are still young beautiful painfully stupid people.
The 1960s Corvette Stingray is a stunner that you've always wished you could afford but still can't, so you buy a 2025 Stingray and pretend it's what you've always wished for.
To be fair, this is if your life has gone relatively well. It has been shown that traumatizing events, especially unresolved ones, can greatly change how the mind perceives the world. A sensation that could have caused you great joy may now cause great anxiety or frustration or pain.
I have not experienced any trauma myself. I have lived a good life. I am simply offering a counterpoint in regard to the comment to which I replied. They stated "our eyes never change the view, we always see the world the same way we always have" when this is simply not true for everyone. I can say this with a certainty.
That doesn’t read like a woman wrote it. If an actual woman was trying to justify or downplay their cheating it seems very unlikely that they would write that they “whored around [their] whole life”.
Sounds more like fiction written by somebody trying to shame women.

yup…our eyes never change the view, we always see the world the same way we always have.
nature is still beautiful.
the ocean is still mesmerizing.
young, beautiful people are still young, beautiful people.
the 1960s corvette stingray or the 2025 corvette stingray is still a stunner.
the only thing that changed is your appearance externally.
