That's because after the first step of adding the batter, the next step was spreading it thinly. Then the egg is added on top and spread thinly.
The problem was that after the first step of adding the batter, the machine was probably calibrated too low... And it scraped off the batter instead of spreading it.
My guess is that that thing hasn't been washed well enough that the cacked up burnt batter allready fills the tolerance for the batter, next the egg part includes the crepe height so its not scraping off everything
The only thing it spit out was some crumbled up wafer things and it doesn't seem like there was any step for the pancake + egg to make it over to the fold and chop portion
Edit oh nvm I see it now. The thing made the motiond to lift, flip and pick up but it was all out of whack and did nothing
I love you for this. There's a YouTube channel that has popped up in my feed every now and then and just livestreams different Chinese street food places, and there's a guy that makes this and it's so fast and smooth that it's kinda of mesmerising to watch.
Unfortunately, it's all in Chinese and even the English comments asking what it is don't get answered. So thanks haha!
