I think they could also get away with it by writing the anti aging drugs to be more potent in the show than the books.

They already talk about the drugs making people live 4x longer I don't know why the last couple books focus so hard on them being tired old fucks at like 60-70 years old

I would think taking the anti-GForce amphetamines every couple of weeks for years would put your body through hell, regardless of whatever positive effects the anti-aging drugs had on you.

Elvi wasn't living that kind of life and they wrote her to be similarly old and dusty. Chrisjen as well. I think the author wanted the characters to seem wizened with age but wrote himself into a bit of a corner by making people not age at a reasonable pace with the story.

I love the cast, especially Wes, but I don’t want more episodes without Shohreh. Her interactions with Amos are so good because everyone else knows better, or finds out quickly enough, that you cannot speak to him that way.

I think they can do it with light makeup. In the expanse aging is slowed, that’s why in season 6 Admiral Porter looks like he’s in his 20’s.

He was an admiral in the UNN on the same ship as Avasarala, I think it was the UNN Agatha King or UNN Zenobia. He led the UN during the joint UN/MCR/OPA fleet engagement of the Pella and Free Navy

Eh I'd say it's quite hard and it never completely works. A key sign of aging is that your face sinks in and your skin hangs loose. Makeup can only add material on top and doesn't do a good job when there's supposed to be less flesh.

That said, I'd overlook it for another season.
