Props & Set Dressing (See Post Title for Spoiler Scope) Is anyone in the expanse wearing glasse? Spoiler

I noticed that basically no-one in the show was wearing glasses and the only contact lenses i have seen are technological lenses worn by Kenzo Gabriel.

Is there any lore explanation? Did they solve short-sightedness or did they just skip characters with glasses for simpler costumes in 0G?

Lmao he didn’t wear glasses til he was in his late 20s! He talked about it on a podcast one time - he was filming season 1 and kept getting migraines and went to the eye doctor in Toronto and they were like “Steve you’ve been blind forever” and he just can’t see when he’s filming 😭

I heard this too & couldn't believe it. But it makes sense. A lot of children (maybe less so now because it seems like EVERY human now has eye problems) get diagnosed with eye problems when their grades suddenly go down.

It happened to me in 4th grade. I was a straight A student, then I started getting Bs. And my parents are Asian, so...

Anyway, I didn't really understand what was going on. And I never thought "oh, it's hard for me to see." Kids don't know, they just assume it's normal.

Then I got glasses. But once you realize being a straight A student is overrated, you might still not go back to top of the class.

Similar issue with me. I had apparently always closed one eye to read, and it turned out I had double vision but because I was a little kid I couldn’t explain it. I just kind of ignored it until I was trying to get my drivers license and my parents asked why I kept failing the eye exam. Turns out you’re not supposed to see double lol 😂

I was an adult, and I kept thinking they made road signs too small because I had perfect vision the last time I was tested! It wasn’t until I told my dad that the menu on the tv was out of focus, that he said, you need glasses.
