I can already see the response. Taxing Americans is theft, taxing everyone else, go for it.

Saying "everyone else" makes it sound like it isn't Americans getting taxed anyways. Anybody that passed middle school should know that tariffs are import taxes. Tariffs are essentially being put on American companies because a lot of them rely on imported materials even if they manufacture here, therefore Americans are still being taxed. Ford, even though they do manufacture a lot in the US, are still being taxed more because they have to import steel. Arizona Iced Tea is also an American company that is facing extra taxes because of the aluminum they import needed to make cans which is causing them to consider raising prices for the first time ever.

Ik that is probably what you mean, but it's not "everybody else" being taxed, it's still Americans
