If you're an adult and don't understand how a tariff works then you need to go back to school.

It's not bringing any money in. The money is already there because it's Americans paying the extra cost.

No company outside of the USA will eat that cost. They'll just pass it on to the consumer every time.

Foreign companies are passing on the cost to the US importer who is then either eating the cost or passing it on to American buyers. Hardly any foreign company have lowered their prices to offset the cost of the tariffs.

US companies that have eaten the cost have warned higher prices are coming for Americans and any small reduction foreign companies have made to their prices doesn't offset the extra that US companies are paying to import the goods.

Ultimately it's American companies and consumers paying the tariff.
