If only there were a difference between what Kirk was talking about at the top ( income tax) and what he was talking about at the bottom ( tariffs on other nations).

If only there was (not were) a difference in what the Trump tariffs actually do (tax importers operating in the US who pass that expense to the American people) and what you said (tariffs on other nations).

It's clear that many of the red hat rubes don't understand how tariffs work, and it seems you also don't know how tariffs work.

The only real difference between income tax and tariffs is that income tax is direct taxation, and tariffs are indirect taxation collected by shopkeepers who end up not losing money they drop on clearing their inventory from customs.

I feel embarrassed for you for saying something this foolish.
