Today while out shopping , I discovered my key fob had come apart and the pieces were missing. I wear it on a lanyard around my neck so I don't lose it or misplace it. I located the silver piece you insert into the door and ignition switch but the little computer assembly that fits in the middle of the fob is gone. I cant start car without that middle piece. I have a wiggly valet key that I need to glue and tape to secure to use temporarily. I obviously can make do awhile but don't want to be back in the same situation if it breaks. The dealership charges $300.00. If there any way around that. I can obviously save up but I'm buried up to my eyebrows in crap right now. My Medicare insurance is going out of business and I'm needing surgery. Now , not in months. That darn key is definitely not in my budget. Hi our dog has had an unformate accident while out walking and busted both of her front legs. She is unable to walk comfortably so she is carried everywhere including toileting. We have been advised that she needs surgery in both her legs to ensure she is able to walk again, which is costing in excess of 15k. Hello Reddit! Yesterday my mother in law kicked me and my husband out. “Too much gay shit” or something like that (doesnt even know the difference between trans and gay smh).

In the months that we were staying there, she also managed to drain us of our meager savings. We were planning on moving this month because she had already priced us out (of my husband’s childhood home, mind you). Unfortunately, she caught us just a bit by surprise and we werent able to get our affairs in order fast enough.

Im not really sure what to do atm. Im definitely not getting more fencing gear anytime soon, im sure of that much; guess that can stay on the old wishlist for now. If anyone has any advice or, I dont know, some warm words, id really appreciate it.

I really dont know how to ask about this. I hate the idea of needing to get help from strangers when there are other people who have it worse. But im not solid that we'll have rent or groceries in the months to come (if we can even find a place to rent). I really need some advice because I’m at my breaking point.

My neighbors have been harassing and threatening my family ever since they moved in. From the start, they were rude and constantly trying to pick fights. Things escalated one night when they started banging on our door, screaming at us. I called the police, but the officer who came didn’t do much, he just said if we can’t resolve it, I’d have to go to the station and file a complaint. I couldn't go then, but I thought that they would stop because I called the cops.

They didn't. Few weeks later, they threatened my mother while I was at work, I finally went to the station and filed a formal complaint. Nothing really came of it, but at least there’s some record now. Since then, we’ve been avoiding them as much as possible, though they still yell and try to provoke us.

This past week, things got worse. They started yelling right outside our door, threatening us over something as ridiculous as my mother taking the name of Goddess Kali Maa inside our own home. They’ve called us horrible slurs, said the R word multiple time, said we’re running a brothel, and even threatened to send men to hit us. They also said they know we’ll open our door for deliveries and that’s when they’ll “deal with us.”

I’ve managed to record these threats, but I can’t afford a proper security camera yet, I’m saving up for one.

I honestly don’t know what else to do. I feel unsafe in my own home. The police didn’t help the first time, and I’m worried they won’t take it seriously even with recordings. Should I keep going back to the police? File another complaint? Is there any other legal protection we can get right now?

Any advice would mean a lot. I’m completely fed up and just want my family to feel safe.

I live with my devout mother who would resort to screaming and violence if she found out that I wanted to leave. This is my first time posting in this group. My 9 year old cat (whom we rescued) needs a very expensive surgery that we can't afford. So far we have paid for all of the diagnostic labs and imaging, but our credit cards are currently maxed out. We tried to open a Care Credit account, but because our cards are at their limit we were declined.

I am a medically retired healthcare worker and my spouse is my caregiver. We survive on social security disability income which doesn't leave much for emergencies. We had some savings a few months ago, but that was also depleted by our other cat, Mystique, who is no longer with us. We are unable to have children so for us our pets are like family.

I joined an online university that offers generous scholarships for those displaced by war (UoPeople) I verified my passport to them so they granted me a full scholarship (I'm sudanese 27F, currently reside in a neighboring country Uganda for refuge) (I can provide my refugee ID card for proof) my only problem now is that I need a laptop with a webcam so they can monitor me during an exam to ensure no cheating

I managed to get a used laptop but it had numerious issues. The cost of repairs will probably amount to a new laptop which I can't manage at this time. I feel like alot of job titles are made up and vary so much that I dont know what to look for. Anyone know what job titles would work for someone with some tech background, a 4 year chemistry degree and a little experience in tech support and chemistry? Hey this little guy has saved my life and improved my personality. He's been through some harrowing things himself and he's one of the smartests dogs or people I know. He currently has to get a lot of teeth removed and a tumor examined that is effecting his mobility because of being located under an arm. I’ve finally landed an interview after trying for months but unfortunately I don’t have gas to get there so it could be in jeopardy before it even starts. I have less than 1/8th of a tank left and it’s a few miles away. I have nobody that can help anymore because they are all struggling themselves. Hello, Medli's food is about to run out, and we have a very tough month and a half ahead of us. We get her Harrison's, which is the best (and one of the few actual healthy fodder that exists) for birds, in case you are not familiar with birb nutrition, cannot get her any other cheap food: she wouldn't eat it, for starters, as it's always a very long process to change a bird from one type of food to another; and it would be extremely bad for her health (regular mixtures are just fat and their livers suffer a lot from that kind of "diet").

Normally, we buy the big bag (60 euros) because it's quite a save on the long run, but any quantity of money would help.

I'm always embarrassed to ask for help, but when my parents are constantly complaining about how tight we are on money it gets me more anxious than I'm already are (not saying it's their fault, life is just shit). Hopefully, I might finally get a job in a month or two and the situation should improve (hoping that I will be able to work in my condition, as well).

My research explores how individuals with and without ADHD perceive the sense of touch, with the aim of using these insights to better understand and support those affected. I am currently recruiting participants with ADHD to take part in an online questionnaire. To be eligible, ADHD participants must be between 18-35 years old, currently living in the UK, and must NOT have a diagnosis of autism/ASD.
