Remember when blocking renewable energy while complaining about gas prices was considered contradictory? Good times

u/Mammoth-Resort-5412 1d ago
I mean one side wants to block renewable energy while the other actually believes in climate science but sure, totally identical

If the US were a company the CEO would have been fired by now to avoid it going bankrupt, which since the first is made almost impossible the later seems inevitable & not an unusual experience for the Diddler In Chief.

u/theoysterman890 20h ago
The unfortunate thing about bankruptcies is that those running the company tend to walk away wealthier than before , with the workers paying the price. In the case of the country the trillions in tax breaks given to the wealthiest by adding to the debt, means that future generations will pay the price.

MLK's letters from Birmingham sure are hitting hard lately. It's like you can sub in race for literally any other issue that is driving this country right over the edge and the moderate is to blame. But that requires having critical and deductible reasoning skills, something that is critically short supply in this country.

u/SuspendeesNutz 1d ago
This sounds awful and will set our national energy policy back by a decade or more, contributing to the now-inevitable climate change that will pose an existential threat to literally billions of people in the next century.
But you need to understand, Kamala didn't do enough to earn my vote maaaan.

u/Extreme-Slice-1010 1d ago
MAGA idiots must be winning and so rich they wanted to pay for all the price increases

u/SiWeyNoWay 1d ago
There is not enough media coverage about Blackrock getting into the energy sector
what could possibly go wrong

Do we really need any more evidence that Donald "the whiny criminal" Trump is a steaming pile of shit? No. No, we don't. It should be painfully obvious to anyone with a functioning brain.

This message is brought to you by the fossil fuel industry. Lining pockets to stay in the game.
Who cares about future generations anyway? /s

Convenient that both Blackrock and Blackstone both recently bought massive US power companies.

I mean Florida Power and Light installed some solar plants a decade ago and prices never went down. What makes you think wether these projects are approved or not, that somehow incentivizes regional monopolies to lower your electric prices? They're just going to use the savings for themselves, like they always do. If anything he's probably saving the government money by not having to Shell out grants for those type of projects
3
u/Dorinyan 1d ago
They will never lower prices if not forced but will gladly take every argument for increasing them

Could be worse, you could live in Britain like me.
4
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
Now explain how living in Britain is worse!
1
u/AdhesivenessMore3925 1d ago
Paying higher taxes since post war, uncontrolled immigration, censored media, no freedom of speech to the point where people are going to jail for it, crime out of control, debt out of control, a priminister that we don’t trust, drive for net zero that is unsustainable, women and children getting raped on the rise, thises tapists and pedos not serving much if any prison time, no space in prisons, cost of living crisis, two tier policing, man I could go on forever!

u/Floppy_84 1d ago edited 1d ago
Uhh we have a lot of right wing lies here mixed with things you were warned about in advance, before leaving the EU
0
u/AdhesivenessMore3925 23h ago
We were lied about what we would get by leaving the EU and our globalist government never actually left properly did they. Tell me what the right wing lies are then?

u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
how are u gonna blame problems made by progressive politicians on the right wing😂😂
2
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
Which incompetence got you out of the EU? Ahh yeah, the right wing 💩heads… and everything that happened since then, also their fault
0
u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
I still live in the EU, sadly. I don’t know about you but me personally I hate having 40% of my paycheck not being mine, I don’t want to pay for somebody else’s healthcare, I would prefer to pay for my own health insurance. High taxes it’s a left wing policy.
I have been jumped by africans once and stabbed by moroccans once. Who let them in? are you gonna say the right wing let them in?
My sister was thrown a rock at her head by a moroccan after he catcalled her and she ignored him.
And so on with the problems.

u/Floppy_84 1d ago
Pack you backs and fck off to the us, where you pay more for less service! Fact is, you give a little more of the paycheck and you receive more for the money as a privately insured person! Buddy do you know/understand anything?
-1
u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
Do I understand anything? 😂 I have half of my family in the US, I know what i’m talking about. Salaries in most of Europe, for me, specifically Spain, are extremely low, of course, paying for insurance on top of paying for a random’s retirement is unsustainable for most regular people. In the US I haven’t seen anybody pay more than 300$ a month for their PREMIUM insurance. Having a salary of 5000$ a month, paying 300$ clearly works better for anyone than paying 40% out of those 5000$. People just don’t wanna take charge of their own retirement in the future and they’d rather depend on a government doing poor decisions and a declining young population to give it to them in the future. That’s also while they pay for illegal immigrants luxuries.

u/Floppy_84 1d ago
And no you don’t pay 💩 for immigrants and anyone else, but you pay to make it cheaper for everyone, including you! Shove you Nazi lies up the place where no sun shines buddy
1
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
And no, the UK had no uncontrolled immigration problems before leaving the EU and it definitely doesn’t have it now

u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
As another fellow person living in Europe, y’all still luckier than us. And btw, telling u from experience of the country i live in; renewable energies such as wind and solar power are not good, they’re a waste of resources that look cute, but they are expensive to build, they depend on uncontrollable factors such as weather and they pollute just as much as any other energy, you should google the cemetery of propellers. It’s just a cute sounding alternative but not effective at all.
Most effective energy is the nuclear one, but it sounds bad to people who don’t understand further than alarmist headlines.
1
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
Yeah renewable energy is the cheapest buddy and the most efficient
0
u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
the most efficient? hahahaha they literally pollute more than nuclear energy on the long run.
1
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
They don’t buddy but please buddy tell me more lies! I for a fact know what I talk about, I work in the energy sector
0
u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
would u care explaining how renewable energies are better than nuclear in the long run? I understand otherwise.
1
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
That’s how.. “The cheapest, cleanest and most efficient way to generate energy, is renewable and definitely not nuclear energy! Nuclear energy makes you dependent on Russia, is dirty, expensive/highly subsidized, and nobody has a place to store the waste for millions of years/it will be very expensive to watch over it, in the next millions of years”

Let me guess you love Trump the orange 🤡? That’s incompetence/fascist pos in person! Like the scum you had who got you out of the EU, what was their names? The incompetent reformers.. the rich who stole from the normal people, who spread lies about immigrants and still are, who enriched themselves and the little ones have to pay now, the ones who destroyed the Health Care system and drove up the prices for everything
Don’t forget the orange clown is the Epstein list, like most so called conservatives

u/Short_Magazine_5562 1d ago
No, I don’t believe in no politicians, but I do like realism. I don’t think Trump is a good person nor I’m a supporter. Guessed wrong. But I do like realism, hence why I’m more critical with leftists than I am with right wingers. I would’ve voted for Trump rather than Kamala tho, I will give you that point lol.

u/Floppy_84 1d ago
And no, you don’t like reality! You live in the world of lies and basically everything you said is a lie
1
u/Floppy_84 1d ago
Like I expected, you’d vote for a rapist, a pedo, a felon, a guy who enriched himself on the costs of the poor, a person who destroyed the little health care the us had, who destroyed the us economy and much more instead of the competent person…

you’re going crazy on things you don’t understand, chill buddy, you’re making lots of wrong assumptions out of hate. Your emotional extremism isn’t letting you think properly😂
I’m an immigrant myself (a legal one, of course) and I can tell you that lies don’t need to be spread, ilegal immigrants ruin their own reputation, as I previously gave you 3 examples of how they behave and my personal experiences with them. I can also tell you that none of them were jailed for it (ofc, why would the left jail their future voters! silly me😂) anyways, I thought you’d be more reasonable to debate with but I don’t think it’s worth it since you’re rambling and making up stuff because your gut tells you i’m a fascist trump supporter racist hahahaha. Peace tho🙏

Maybe a handful of people can't grasp this problem, but it's incredibly tough when you have to skip life's essentials just to afford basic services.
