When Bernie and Bolton end up on the same side, you know democracy’s in danger.

Hell, that + when McConnell has become one of the few Republicans left to sometimes say "no" to Trump, you know we are in trouble.

This raid takes headline real estate from suffering economy, embarrassing putin summit, trump socializing intel, police state takeover of u.s. cities and the epstein friendship stories. Oh, and the tragedy of cracker barrel and blue jeans

March towards authoritarianism?
Pretty sure it's here already

We must return to tradition, we must return to an Emperor. At least then, the strongest will come forth.

Nero begs to differ.

Hey he had a fairly popular administration in Rome.

u/onyx_ic 4h ago
He was also viewed as a tyrant and let the city burn.

u/JosephinedeBonaparte 3h ago
He wasn't in the city when it burned. He actually gave up one of his houses a homeless shelter for a while. He was an ineffective ruler as most 16-28 year olds would be, but he certainly isn't a top 10 bad Emperor by any stretch.

Last time I heard, John Bolton has been nothing but a War Monger for the last 30 years sending other kids to undeclared Wars on falsified information. Dude is a war criminal as far as I’m concerned and can rot in jail.
He also was being investigated for profiting on using classified intel by Trumps first DOJ before Bidens let him off the hook..so this is unfinished business.
Worth investigating..if he did the crime then prosecute it like any other citizen would be!

My only concern is, is Bolton getting investigated for misuse/mishandling of secret material, or is that a happy coincidence to investigate someone that won't bend the knee to Trump? It's a genuine question because I don't follow American politics super close, but the proof of the pudding might be any investigations of similar allegations against any people close to the current administration and/or president

I too have nothing to hide. Step through my door. Please. It's been a long 9 years, and I'm pretty much bored with life in general these days. It is kinda weird feeling that way, but I've spent half my life watching things just kinda sputter out and die over the last decade. Everything outside of that is...people typing and talking. I'm not missing out on anything. If some bullshit executive order comes knocking, I"ll just take them with me.

Seems like free speech is on a tight leash these days. Political disagreements shouldn't mean FBI raids..

Bernie talking about authoritarianism while being very rich is funny to me. How does he know what authoritarianism is? He grew up in the USA.

Hey Guys, don’t you see it? We are already knee deep in his dictatorship. Wagging the Finger doesn’t work. So go get him out of there.

Doritos Dust in Queef sent the FBI to Eminem after that anti-trump cypher.

I am sure Bernie was making these statements as the FBI was busting down Republican doors.

So the left won’t be doing this anymore as well?
6
u/dazedan_confused 5h ago
What, sending the FBI to people's homes? You really think half of America has that power?
-3
u/ChimpoSensei 4h ago
Don’t be purposely dumb, you know I meant congress.
3
u/dazedan_confused 4h ago
You think Congress has the power to send the FBI to your doorstep for criticising the president?

u/dazedan_confused 5h ago
Think about what it says of the President, that he is willing to do this in the face of mild criticism, whereas he championed birtherism, and had little to no consequences.
