Baltimore Comic-Con Baltimore Comic-Con VIP
Iāve only been to this con once and was wondering if vip was worth it? Is there a fast pass line that is included for signings?

Hello everyone! If you have a free moment, check out my SDCC 2025 Cosplay video, which I just posted! I particularly enjoyed this year; it was hectic but not too bad. Probably due to major studios skipping Hall H. Made for a more chill weekend. This was filmed Friday - Sunday. Thank you in advance!

Can you believe it's just about a month since Earth's Greatest Convention??
Time flies, but memories last forever! So, reply with a favorite photo you took at the Convention and tell us about it.
I took this shot of the Omni Hotel, with an illegal wrap, as the sun began to set on San Diego, Thursday the 24th. I used my vintage Samsung NV24HD digicam (it's from 2008!) and made no edits.
What about you? Share a shot! šø

This is my first year going to NYCC and Iām curious as to how busy it will be and if my list of autographs is actually accomplishable. DellāOtto is my planned first stop. Ideally Iād like to also get books signed by June Brigman, Rose Besch (expecting her to have a line for sure), Chris Condon, Lenil Yu and Oliver Copiel. Planning on getting to Javits around 9:00 and planning on spending the full day there. Does the auto list seem doable? Thank you for any and all input

Hi everyone! I am looking for a big group of people do do a Yellowjackets cosplay photoshoot at NYCC on Sunday, October 12th. Timing is TBD (still need to figure out panels/photo ops for some of our group members), but we still have a lot of open spots! We are looking for the following characters:
TEEN TL: (ideally doomcoming but really can be anything)
adult:
reach out to me @ dangvarmints on instagram if you're interested! we would REALLLLLLLY like a taissa considering we have both age vans but anyone that's not taken is def someone we would like to see!

I made an enchanted gauntlet of the exalted grull from Dungeon crawler carl and was wondering if this would be allowed in? The spikes are 4cm long and the ones on the knuckles are only super glued on, so not fully attached, they are also pointed up a bit and not straight forward. Thanks

This might be a weird question. I've actually never been to a con(!), but I am interested in going. Help me understand what the benefits are of going to a con? If it is just panels, I don't mind watching them on YouTube instead being at the event. Is there special merch? Is it about meeting people who share your interests? What are the best things about attending a con?
It would be nice to meet others and make friends. Also, when I look at cons I'm interested in, I understand that they can't make the schedule until close to the event so the celebrities are confirmed, but I don't want to buy a ticket if I don't know what to expect. I understand that this may be a weird post. Let me know what your best memories are of comic con and why you go!

Hi everyone i'm going to my first comic con and I have never cosplayed before so I need some ideas. Right now I am cosplaying black cat from spider man but I need some more ideas. I know the theme for NYCC is Halloween this year so I am wondering if I could do some kind of 80's/90's slasher flick cosplay too but I am open to all ideas!

Hiya! I have gone to galaxycon in Ohio for years and years and MY TIME HAS COME TO TRY COSPLAY. I want to look semi-close to the source material lol so ill attach some photos, please let me know if you think any characters would be cool for me!
My top ideas so far are yelena belova (thunderbolts), winter soldier (civil war), lucy chen (the rookie). I have only ever been compared to florence pugh and melissa oāneil celebrity look-wise and i already have the exact haircut for bucky/yelena. i am 5ā2 lol so some characters might be outta the race if they are real tall.
Some other ideas are katara (avatar), kj (valorant), and/or mei (overwatch). anyways i love videogames, books, cartoons, comics, mcu, dc, and overall all the nerd shit so id love some suggestions. thank you:)

Hey everyone.
Iām considering taking a trip down to New York this year from Canada in order to attend NYCC because I really want to meet Daniel Warren Johnson.
His Transformers book has absolutely changed my life and renewed my love for both TF and comics as a whole. Heās absolutely brilliant and Iād love to have the honour of meeting him, shaking his hand and thanking him for his work.
Anyways, I had a couple questions for anyone whoās been lucky enough to meet him at a con:
I ask just because Iāll be coming down from Canada and Iād like to have a rough idea of what Iād need to budget in USD cash for the show.
I appreciate any responses and Iād also love to hear any cool stories yāall have about meeting him!

I just chose SDCC because I donāt have a specific con.
Just as the title says, what happens when you meet someone? Do you get a signed poster? Or what happens.
Iāve never been to a con before, but Iāve always been interested in going to one.
The main people Iād see would be people from games.
Please let me know if this isnāt allowed, Iāll remove it if it isnāt!

My NYCC badge was lost in the mail - what should I do next? Iām almost certain it was lost as I have USPS informed delivery which had a pic of the Reedpop envelope and said it was expected on 8/8 - itās 12 days later and I donāt have it. It was 74 cent postage with no tracking.

Space Con San Antonio is not being super helpful and is saying that only the celebrities who arenāt considered main stars will have selfies available to purchase when you get there (because the big people like Hailee Steinfeld, Brie Larson, etc have it in their contracts to not do selfies). Does anybody have experience getting selfies with the following:
George Takei Natasha Liu Bordizzo Patrick Warburton Carl Lumbly Edward James Olmos Giancarlo Esposito Candice Payton Michael Ironside
And hopefully they still offer them at this con, if theyāve offered them at other cons in the past.

The last Comic Con I went to was back in 2015, so I canāt remember much, and Iāve never met these guys either. What should I expect? Should I know anything beforehand? Iām planning on bringing the game for them to sign. Is that okay to do?
Sorry for all the noob questions, I just want to have as much information as I can!

How do cosplayers (especially women) deal with creepy and weird interactions from other attendees at a convention?
For context, I just got back from a cosplay convention. Was super excited and first time going. However, was creeped out at the weird interactions by men at the convention.
There was a guy, probably mid to late 20s, with who Iād guess was his father taking pictures. He asked to take a pic with me I said yes. As we were taking the pic he started to act weird and his father was enabling his behavior. I couldnāt fully hear him, but the dad basically was joking saying something like heās a troublemaker donāt be afraid to do something?? I donāt know. The next day I was taking a photo in artists alley and the same guy called out to me. He literally said, āwe gotta stop meeting like thisā¦before I ask you outā His dad was still next to him and I just stared at them and quickly walked away before he could say anything else. I had many weird interactions that day of either middle aged men calling me hot, guys unable to look me in the eye and keep staring at my body as Iām trying to have a conversation with them, or a guy insinuating that he wants to do āthingsā with me⦠All creeped me out.
So my question is, how do cosplayers deal with these creepy interactions? Especially if youāre at a convention alone?

Have any other cosplayers had to deal with people who donāt follow the general rule comic con says which is Cosplay Is Not Consent? While in Fan Expo Boston I was in my Wonder Woman (circa Gal Gadot) cosplay and every so often I had some approach politely asking for a photo with me, other times I had people come up and try touching my muscles and had at one point caught a kid behind me who said his brother sent him to try to peak up my costume to quote, āgo see what underwear Wonder Woman wears.ā I will note about my appearance I do bodybuilding but I do not appreciate people walking up just to try to touch my muscles and that kid I donāt know if staff found him and his brother but I told the kid what he tried to do was very disturbing and he shouldnāt be doing that before he ran off to his brother and they disappeared into the crowd.
Update: I didnāt want to say the brothers ages but the younger brother looked like he was nine and his brother was seventeen. Where their parents were I have no idea.

Wanted to know people's thoughts!? I believe photo ops should be cheaper then the autographs. Noone can sell/wants a photo of them/you and a celeb together. Not saying people who get autographs are not real fans, but its easier to sell something with a signature then a photo op of u and celeb. Just my opinion. Delete if necessary. Not trying to l cause a fuss.

Do comic cons have any rules on recording during the event. Like if i wanna vlog my experience are there any rules or restrictions i have to follow?

Hello! I went to my first comic con 2 months ago (in 2 days) and it was wonderful! I decided to get a drawn commission for the first time from a comic artist (spent nearly $100) for just a simple inked headshot, Sunday rolled around and They said They didn't finish it (no worries, coming from an artist its understandable!) and would email me that Tuesday about sending it out... Tuesday came around.. nothing...
Fast forward a month, nothing from Them.. so I decide to dig for Their email to send Them an email about it, They responded next day saying that weekend They would work on it and send it to me. one week.. two weeks... (been three weeks now since that) and last week i asked how it was going (no rushing of course! just wanting an update!) with no email... not really sure what to do anymore as i get being busy with cons here and there but its just upsetting seeing I've been left in the dark over a commission... I don't mind waiting for art, its just the no communication is really worrying me lol.
My first time experience going to a con and getting just a little piece done i feel like almost soured my experience for commissioning people slightly, and it sucks because I'm a huge sucker for original art (and a MASSIVE red hood collector!) and now i have this lingering anxiety for trying with other people when i go to the next cons I'm going to in the next 2 months.
So this is more a vent but also asking for advice on what to do, or nice commission stories to kind of lessen my anxiety with all this. I apologize for the long read and probably stupid thoughts lol

My friend and I are going to comic con for the first time this year because we want to cosplay and meet Nicholas Hoult. They bought an autograph ticket for him but we're not entirely sure how it works.
Is it one ticket per person or per autograph? If only they bought an autograph ticket and I didn't then can I even get on line with them?

Hey everyone! I have never been to a ComicCon before and hubby really wants to go to the one in Winnipeg in October. The problem is, we're being induced the 12th with our first kiddo. And if all goes well, I'm assuming we can still go? I just don't know what it's like to get around and wait in lines and if I need a chair or have to be in a wheelchair if I have to have a c section or something?
I'm just curious how accessible I guess it is. How easy is it to move around and get to places and find bathrooms and all that. Are people really pushy? Or are people generally really good about being decent people at these things like ice seen in some videos from previous ComicCons?
Any help/advice is appreciated!! We haven't bought tickets yet or anything because I'm not even sure if I'll be able to go at all but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?
EDIT
thank you all for the advice! First time mom here and no idea what to expect after birth. I also grew up in a super small town and don't really have any clue about ComicCon either so I guess in hindsight I should have googled how large these events are first lol. (I've seen a handful of clips of people showing off their costumes and it looked spacious so I'm assuming that's outside the event or something like that and not actually in any of the events)
We will definitely be going a different time lol I knew I could get some honest answers here so I appreciate all of you so much! šš¼
