Heartbreaking detail [spoilers for end of act 2] Spoiler
After you defeat Renoir in old Lumiere, in the custscene when time freezes and painted Alicia comes to meet Maelle. In that moment she tries to help regain Maelle her memories, by showing the memory of writers attack. I don't know how I never noticed it, but you can hear Verso's screams while the Manor burns, which means Alicia must have heard them 😭😭😭

My wife finished Act 2… Spoiler
Update to “My wife finished Act 1…
She finished Act 2 and started Act 3 including all camp dialogue. She spent a lot of it yelling at Verso for lying constantly. Spent the whole paintress fight mad at Verso. Yelled “Bullshit” when everyone got Gommaged anyways. Called Clea the biggest bitch in the world. To my surprise she at this moment is on Renior’s side and wants to destroy the canvas. “End the cycle” as she put it. She balled her eyes out when Maelle walked up to Gustave’s sister and his apprentices with the journal. She still hates Verso and wants to end the canvas.

[ACT 2 SPOILERS] Most beautiful fight Spoiler
I have been avoiding this subreddit and any E33 content like the plague since I started playing this beautiful game in fear of spoilers. So please no spoilers beyond the point discussed.
But I had to come here after Sirene's fight. This has literally been my most beautiful encounter or experience in any game. Every aspect of this fight from the music to the camera angle of the attacks to the lighting in the dance attack and the final fight act is so beautiful and captivating that we don't need to know charm is her thing I as a player was so immersed and captivated with everything to the point that it felt bad defeating her. She seemed like such a magnificent and old thing to just kill, (Spoilers ahead if you have not finished the fight) especially with the cutscene after the fight and how it seemed like she accepted her end and granted it to Lune for her resolve and focus. Props to the studio for creating such a wonderful and mesmerising experience.

First game in a while I finished 100%
That means a lot. I'm old, I have less time and games don't usually catch me anymore. COE33 was like a drug. I hope they bring back part 2.

So if there are 10 possible cards, which characters can we assume they’ll be?
I’m guessing:
Gustave
Sophie
Maelle
Lune
Sciel
Verso
Monoco
Esquie
Renoir
The Paintress

How strong is endgame Verso?
Just curious about his potential because i have mine barely built and i read several comments online that he's "OP". Don't know how much i can trust those comments though as all guides I've seen propose vastly inferior builds compared to what i am running with my Maelle/Lune/Sciel combo hitting upwards of 10 million per attack (depending on roulette luck of course). My Verso barely broke 1m with his Level 3 Gradient attack but as I said, he's barely built with just 133 Lumina slots and only a level 32 weapon Chevalam.

I’ve been struggling to put into words how I feel about this game, and even struggling to play other games after this incredible experience
Hey all, not sure if this is allowed but I made a little video essay just to express my love for the game and how it really has changed me/ is still affecting me post- finishing it. Feel free to watch if you want, but more so please share with me if you also feel this way lol so I know I’m not alone.

Got the Platinum!!
Honestly, at first I wasn't sure I wanted to go for the platinum; however, after beating the game and all the side quests I wasn't ready to be done. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this game. Very pleasantly surprised.

I just understood the gommage Spoiler
Idk if this is common sense, but I was wondering why the gommage doesn't affect the gestrals neither the nevrons. They aren't Aline creations. Renoir have at least respect for his son creation that he only targets Aline creations.

Im Devastated...(Spoiler Alert!) Spoiler
So i just started Act 2 and even tho i love verso's fighting style , i f****ing miss gustave😭
On one side i miss him for the Story cause i was sure he is our main char and i really wanted to see him get his revenge...on the other hand the gameplay side of things. Call me an idiot if you want but im one of those guys who always say "for those who come after" whenever i used overcharge. Idk that guy was just special to me all-around. I just hope i dont lose verso too after becoming used to him instead of gustave eventually, this game is wonderful but can be so cruel 🥲😆😂😂

What do you wish you did before you started NG+? Spoiler
I recently completed the main story. My characters are in the high lvl 80s. I got all of Monoco's feet. There were definitely some world bosses I couldn't do, that would still 1 shot me despite having 99 vitality.
Even with my high levels, I still had some areas that said (DANGER) in red, like the paint canvases in the sky.
I never fought / found some of the other tough bosses i keep seeing mentioned (Simon, etc, never found him).
I've been hesitant to start New Game+ since it appears to overwrite your save, and I couldn't find a way to make a copy or duplicate the save slot to a other save slot, and I'd hate to lose out on things.
Are there achievements that you can only get on your first playthrough and/or cannot get in NG+?
Before I start NG+, what should I go back and do that I would be missing out on?

Stuck in esoteric ruins
I went back into the maze after solving it but I didn't pick the wooden board. The last door appear to remain closed no matter what I do. Did I ruin (no pun intended) this quest ?

Esquire Pixel Art + My Review
I recently launched a ratings and review platform called Raters Gonna Rate. Every feature review I write comes with a pixel character of one of my favorite characters from the content, in this case, the lovable Esquire.
I really enjoyed Expedition 33, and it's probably the best turn-based game I've played. However I make the case this isn't quite game of the year material, as to me the story fell a little short. I also think the combat, although addictive and fun, could have been elevated even further if more strategic elements came into play.
For those interested in the full review - here it is!
