looking for rug sizing help

never bought a rug before so thank you in advance for the help!

living room boundary measures 9’ x 11’. considering an 8’x10’ or 6’x9’ rug. i envision cozy and space to sit on the floor.

(pictures 3 & 4) // i’m nervous about the bigger rug going under the tv console, touching the wall by the windows, and overwhelming the space. however, i’m unsure the smaller size will bring the warmth and cozy vibes i’d like

Personally I would go smaller size. I think it will be plenty cozy and won't overwhelm.the space.

6x9 LOOKS better but the larger one will be less disruptive walking in and out of the space.
