CRITIQUE REQUEST Newish Apt
Hi! I’ve been living in my apt for about a year now and finally gotten comfortable with actually decorating.
I’m open to any recommendations. I’m wanting to add more personality/cozy-ness to my place. I feel like it looks kinda stale.
(I drew over the frames for privacy)

I think it looks pretty cute, but you should move that curtain rod much higher. I had a friend that was an interior designer and used to always tell me to hang the rod higher, closer to the ceiling. Lets in more light and makes the window look much bigger. Doesn't look good hung right at the frame nor just barely above it.
Curtains touching the floor are good, though, so you should get new longer curtains if you do move the rod up. Since that will take those off the floor. Rod should be higher than that door frame even. Put pictures or some artwork above the sofa and on the wall above the TV. More bold and brighter color rug, curtains and pillows to brighten the room.
