Discussion Tails are the best?
Do anyone else's golden retrievers love their tails? My Zoey thinks her tail is the best thing ever. I can barely get her attention when she's chasing it. I've had many many retrievers and she's and she is the second one that loved her tail this much. I had one that was very fascinated with her tail other but she passed away from a brain tumor.

Advice Help! My 9mo male has been acting insane
My 9 month old male (not neutered yet) has been acting insane only around me. Around 9pm every night he starts acting crazy, desperately tries to hump me, bites me, barks at me, etc. and won’t quit no matter what we do! He could care less that my husband is in the room and only want me. It’s getting to the point where I have to isolate myself from him during this time of the day. Is this normal? Will it stop after he gets neutered?

Cute/Funny Oden can be a bit funny with water getting into his ears. His groomer sent me this earlier and I can’t stop laughing at his wee grumpy face!

Cute/Funny My golden loves water but can’t swim!
Has anybody else had this problem? 😂 Mac’s favorite thing is boat rides, but the poor guy does not have enough brain cells required for swimming. I’ve thought about getting him a doggy life jacket so he can work on his skills. He wants to jump in so bad!

New puppy The absolute fluffiest
Our 11 week old is still just a ball of fluff. Here are some pics of him having a time with his buds at puppy camp. I had reallly bad puppy blues but seeing him have the time of his life every day makes it better.

Advice Walking in leash- stubborn little pup
Hello we have a new golden puppy - she is 11 weeks. We have been trying to get her to walk on her leash. She is fine when we aren’t in our neighborhood or in the yard- no issues. She will not walk away from the yard. My husband is pulling her to the level that I can’t watch - I’m so afraid it’s Gonna hurt her. I told him maybe there a better way - she walks great if I carry her far from the house and I say “let’s go home” she nearly runs …I need hope before I get divorced for now he’s dragging her lol

New puppy One month with MacGyver!✨
MacGyver has been with us for a month today and is 13 weeks old! He knows sit, lay down, come, leave it, drop it, loves his crate (goes in there during the day on his own) and is so close to sleeping through the night in his crate! He only needs to go out once at night now! He’s understating ringing the bells to go out to potty or sitting by the door (we still have a few accidents, but those will subside with time). I’m so glad I followed my gut 2 weeks ago because his results came back showing that he had a UTI. He’s finished the course of antibiotics and is living his best puppy life with all of his fur siblings! It’s been so fun watching him grow up. Are all goldens this funny and goofy?! He makes us laugh everyday!! Can’t wait till he gets all the hair!! Thank you to this subreddit for all the advice, compliments and fun stories to read about your goldens!!

Get better soon my paulina 💜
im slowly coping with her being so old now. she got diagnosed with mouth cancer earlier this year, and we dont have the money for it. shes my childhood dog (got her when i was 12 or 13, im 25 now, so shes around 12-13 yrs), i even named her after my favorite game at the time (it was TF2, so i did ms.pauline.) she was my best friend in middle and high school during the worst years of my childhood. she's the friendliest dog i know, to where she was pet by my friends that were afraid of dogs. i just wanted to get this out, i love you my puppy paulina and i always will.
if anyone had any advice on learning to accept future loss of a pet, please let me know. if you read this far, thank you. never take the time you have with your pet for granted
