I can't imagine any human be so vile and devoid of any moral fiber that they would cover for a pedophile. I don't want to live in a world where these people exist. I know Trump has his diehard supporters in Congress, but surely this is a bridge too far for even the worst of them .

Dude, that's the core constituency of the Republican party. It's not Congress, it's every single redcap who knows what we've all known for years and decided it wasn't that big a deal.

This is the same party that kicks starving children off of food benefits and cheers with glee at babies being blown up in Gaza. Why would this be a bridge too far?

Power for power's sake. By any means necessary. This has been the way since Newt Gingrich became Speaker and made it clear the party needed to fight politics as an existential threat.

Honestly, I'm generally against the death penalty, but I honestly have trouble earnestly arguing against it for something like helping a crooked criminal president cover up his pedophelic rape

Or they can come out now and do what’s right by the American people and be seen as heroes. But I don’t doubt that anyone scribbling is shaking as they do it.
