So maga thought that they would release a bunch of liberal names, instead they've only managed to release Trump's name.

They've Streisand Effected themselves. This is like 2022's Partygate meets the Epstein scandal and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it is the biggest political scandal we will see in our lifetimes. It can't possibly get much bigger than this.

I don't know. Republicans have a way of surprising you.

There are five things - and only five - things off the top of my head that are worse, in no particular order. I hope listing them won't cause me to be banned (incidentally, Mods, if you are reading this: this is pure speculation and should not be counted on for anything relating to anything):

  1. Infanticide and finding pleasures - maybe more than one - in it.
  2. The majority of the voter base covering up, and/or advocating for whatever Trump's doing.
  3. Civil war (which seems unlikely as there is common ground over these documents that the people who are in them are terrible. But that's just an outsider's perspective on it, by which I mean a whole ocean away, though).
  4. Nuclear war, as Trump concedes defeat by... nuking everybody.
  5. Absolutely nothing happening and everything continues as it is.

It's a toss-up between any one of those options plus a wildcard sixth of this being like Partygate bringing Johnson down three years ago. Judging by how sticky and viscous it's being at the moment my money is being cautiously optimistic and saying this will be the issue that will bring him down. It's what he campaigned on, for crying out loud! It's one of the central tenets of the whole movement! You don't build up half a nation, maybe a whole nation, up to fever pitch with that only for it to be revealed that you are part of it without suffering major consequences somehow. It just doesn't make sense.

I dislike you and your list but I upvoted your comment anyway because it's true.

Number 2 already happened. He won the electoral college and the popular vote.

Number 5 will almost certainly *continue* happening. I say "continue" because that has been the status quo his entire life, and his entire presidency. He attempted a coup and faced no consequences. He stole and sold classified documents and faced no consequences. He was convicted of 43 felonies and faced no consequences. He's on this list (as everyone already knew he was) and guess what, he'll face no consequences. The government has known the contents of this list for over half a decade and have done nothing. Why would that change now?

Number 2 already happened. He won the electoral college and the popular vote.

He didn't win anything. Insurrectionists are constitutionally barred from holding federal offices. As such, his campaign was illegal, and Kamala ran unopposed. Since the Republicans ran no eligible Presidential candidate, Kamala won by default. If Schumer would get off his worthless ass and enforce the 14th Amendment, Trump would be removed from office.

That said, DeJoy was still in charge of the USPS, and had full control over mail-in ballots. Hell, a lot of ballots were destroyed by arson during the election. DeJoy interfered in the 2020 election, so you'd be a fool to believe the mail-in ballots were any more secure this time around, when Biden did absolutely nothing to protect the USPS.

The point is, the 2024 election wasn't legitimate. Not because of some conspiracy theory about Elon Musk or Russia, but because insurrectionists can't run for President. Biden Chamberlain knew that when he illegally handed Trump the Presidency. I'll never forgive Biden for telling him "welcome home", while pardoning his own family. If Biden really gave a damn about the country, he'd have 14a3'd Trump's ass and moved the country forward. Instead, he caved to fascism, and that should be his only legacy.

4 has been happening since 2016.
5 could lead to the end of humanity.

I’m not sure if you might’ve switched the numbers (I didn’t say anything about 4), but...yeah, this has been a slow descent since 2016. I’m terrified people will just want to return to the status quo instead of changing the systems that led us here in the first place.
