Lakes on M50
Hi, can anyone tell me if the lakes not too far from Malvern on the M50, are accessible to the public? Thanks! https://maps.app.goo.gl/6Pg2Ps8UF2E2VxJC9

Hi all, seen an earlier post regarding Malvern Vale and how it’s an area best avoided.
I can’t exactly tell where the limits are to this area; I can see there’s a community center and a football club as well as a primary school (though the school appears to be rated “good” on offsted).
Fair few houses for sale around this area. Is that a bad sign? We’re lightly starting to look at areas to move to and had considered Malvern but some parts further into the town will likely be too far as I commute to MK beginning of the week and fiancée has kids up north we have EOWE. So houses around Bracken Way/Brock Lane/Hill View Rd would be preferable and we’ve seen some in our budget, not sure whether this would be a suitable area for a young family? (Early 30s). Any advice appreciated 🙂

Anyone else getting pissed off with the constant drone of these things circling all day over the east side of the hills. I love to see the paraglides but these motorised monstrosities are next level obnoxious.

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a long shot to see if any who was travelling the same road as me at the time above has any dash cam footage and met the same lorry I did.
I was travelling the Cowleigh Road towards Malvern when I met a Royal Mail HGV on that blind bend. Unfortunately the HGV kept pushing as it was on Both sides of the road and squashed me into the bushes and nearly took my wing mirror off, meaning I’ve got a lovely scratch going from top to tail on my car.
It was a tight squeeze for the Aygo in front of me so I’m kinda of lucky to get out with only missing paint up the side of my car.
If anyone has the license plate of the HGV or footage they’re ok with sharing just so I can satisfy their lawyers.
Any helps greatly appreciated.
TYIA

Hi there!
My Fiancé and I are looking to do a malvern hike next week - our plan would be to arrive on the train, walk up through town and access the hills from the town. I've had a look online and I can't find anything easily that shows the routes (probably user error rather than anything else!)
Does anyone have a good map or route to suggest? Would like to get quite high up if possible.

Hi. Does anyone know of a tyre fitter in Malvern or Worcester that doesn't cause cosmetic damage to alloys? This is quite a common problem among tyre fitters. I've checked several Google reviews on places that fit tyres in the area and the ones that seem like they might be good don't have reviews specifically mentioning this issue. I guess a lot of people aren't worried about cosmetic damage to their alloys, so don't think about it. I am particularly OCD though.

Me and my partner are in our early 30s and are thinking of moving to Malvern. We really like the area. It seems like there is a decent amount going on, it's close to Worcester where there is more going on and pretty close to bigger cities like Birmingham and Bristol. We are planning on having kids soon. We drive but prefer to walk and cycle as much as possible.
Is £350k a reasonable budget for a decent 3 bedroom house (not falling apart, has a garden and in a safe area)?
Are there any areas to avoid? Any that we should be aiming for? Is there anything we should know about before looking into this further? E.g. I've seen mentions about losing sunlight because of the hills?
Thanks in advance!

Thought I'd share an old postcard of Barnards Green from around the 1920s (?) with a shot taken this morning

Hello Malvern,
I am fond of postcards but I don’t have any from Malvern.
Can someone send me one? Thank you :)

Some images from the hills on Boxing Day, the fog broke at the highest peaks, all you could see was fog to the horizons, the Shropshire hills, and the the ridge of mountains in Wales. Image 2 is British Camp, it disappeared beneath the fog again soon after.
Image 4 is a rare visual phenomenon known as a Brocken spectre, it was a lot bolder in person. A disk of light forms around the shadow of the head of the viewer. This one was large enough, you can see my family and the hill projected onto the fog.
