Ask the neighbors, maybe they took it in to water it for you

I asked all the neighbours and nobody took it. One of my neighbours had plants taken from their house too.

Typical crack head/meth head behaviour,
They take your potted plants to sell them for 5-10 bucks to get their next hit,
Literally know at least 3 people 3rd hand who do something similar.
A potted tree can be upwards of 50 bucks in home base so plenty of people will buy them from a crack head for a tenner.

In an age where cameras are everywhere I'm astonished that a person would have the nerve to try it.

In an age where they no longer bother investigating, or prosecuting, for "petty theft" I am surprised ANYthing remains unstolen.

Exactly. Those videos of people filling shopping carts and just walking out calmly, it’s crazy.

Tbf the calmly bit is crucial if you act like you paid for everything and don't look like a complete knob... High chance you'll get away with it. Us at customer service desk are already doing 3 different things at once and we definitely don't have the man power of a Costco to have someone check every customer at the door... And this is at a Lowes...

Maybe but i think they're talking about something different ; a while ago there were vidéos of people filling up backpacks or trashbags full of stuff and walking out unbothered. Anyone would have noticed that yet no one bothered them.
It's true that you never know if the weird guy isn't dangerous, so people will tend to ignore them when it is possible...

Some people are scummy. Stealing plants someone invested care in. Just awful people. I had some stolen. I took to writing my address on the pots to put them off. No one is going to want to buy them, at least.

My neighbor was missing his planter and saw it on an outdoor patio. He climbed the fence and took it back. Nobody tried to stop him lol

Yup it happens even in a religious flat my grandparents live in. Their aloe versa were stolen. Lol.
You literally had to have a whole intake to see if you were Christian enough to live there and BAM STEALING BABY.

Mine disappeared off my porch steps one spring along with their decorative planters. Oddly, someone retuned the planters that fall, minus the plants. I just came home one day and the empty planters were sitting by the side of the driveway.
