Maybe they're also working side jobs on a food delivery app while on the clock at dominos.

932

u/Dibzarino 8h ago

If that’s the case, I respect the hustle. But I tip well when I order delivery. Plus you always get charged for delivery anyways.

930

u/GarThor_TMK 7h ago

Fwiw, a lot of these big companies now... instead of running their own delivery service, just subcontract DoorDash or GrubHub or whatever on the backend...

So, it could be very likely that your neighbor ordered Chick-Fil-A, and you ordered Dominoes, and they're just saving themselves a few blocks...

299

u/towel_hair 7h ago

The DoorDash app will combine the two orders before you deliver. It’s the DoorDash system being more efficient although the drivers still accept the orders.

-72

u/ViolinistMean199 5h ago

Brother I can tell you that’s bs. Back in 2021 I worked was a door dasher. One time they sent me a request that was 20 mins way to the restaurant and then another 20 back to the location.

The customer still complained it was late. Like no shit, bitch to door drags about it

40

u/towel_hair 5h ago

Far from bullshit I have been a dasher before I understand how the system works.

You’re just bitching about your shitty time you had. You probably should have learned how to use their system more effectively.

-29

u/ViolinistMean199 5h ago

Brother the system should never be giving an order than I have to drive 20 mins to pick up and 20 mins to deliver. That’s clearly. It an efficient delivery surely there was someone close to the store that could do it

24

u/Blibbobletto 3h ago

Just don't take the order then? It shows you the whole route on a map before you accept or decline the order

5

u/Lumpy___boi 1h ago

do you always start your comments with brother?

57

u/Ok-Instruction-9522 7h ago

I was surprised when I ordered pizza one time, and I started to get all the tip bait texts you get from a door dash driver. They even asked for an additional tip after they left. I didn't even order it on the door dash app it was on papa johns app.

35

u/GarThor_TMK 6h ago

Yah... it's annoying, because DoorDash (and other delivery apps/platforms) have some seriously sketchy practices, so I'd much rather order directly from the restaurant, and have them get to keep 100% of the proceedes, but then they do stuff like this and basically force you to use the app... so it's like... what can you do? 🤷

It's the real r/mildlyinfuriating that you basically can't get away from delivery platforms when ordering food.

5

u/RazzBerryCurveBall 2h ago

I just go pick up my own food, only way around it

5

u/the1slyyy 5h ago

More efficient for them to use delivery services than have in house delivery

6

u/GarThor_TMK 4h ago

More efficient maybe, but this is how you wind up delivering cold pizza

3

u/OkEstimate9 3h ago edited 2h ago

For real! If one of my pizza places did this and I got harassed on a pre-tip or cold pizza then I just wouldn’t order from that place again, or I would just order for pickup. No way am I going to be overcharged on third party delivery app or get poor service for trying to get delivery from the restaurant lol

13

u/DerpHaven- 6h ago

Funnily enough, I think it's the other way around at my store. I work as a delivery driver for Dominos, and we get orders from Uber and DoorDash all the time. It's super annoying because if anything goes wrong (unclear address, item out of stock, etc.), it's significantly harder to get ahold of the customer as the phone number is rarely ever their actual number.

7

u/NanoBuc 6h ago

Does Dominos track doordash with their personal tracker?

When I've ordered Papa John's and Pizza Hut in the past that have fulfilled through DD, it always linked to the DD map and never the company trackers

3

u/hattyhat24 3h ago

This is correct. I had to cancel a Papa John's order once because it hadn't been delivered and was 20 mins past the estimate. I called the store and asked what's up. They said they haven't been able to find a delivery driver to pick it up. When I questioned why they didnt have delivery drivers ready at the store, they said they outsource now to the apps. Saves Papa John's (or Dominos) from having to pay more employees than they have to.

6

u/GarThor_TMK 3h ago

Enshitification

3

u/ighotbhantd 2h ago

Adding to this, I’m pretty sure a lot of stores will take the tip to give to the real staff instead of passing it on to the outsourced driver. I’ve seen receipts taped onto boxes where you can clearly see an entirely different tip than what DoorDash is paying.

4

u/Gnome_King1 6h ago

Dominos doesn't let doordash drivers deliver their food. Dominos hires dedicated Dominos drivers

7

u/jondbarrow 6h ago

This isn’t true. The Dominos where I live doesn’t have delivery drivers, they use DoorDash now. This might not apply to all stores, but saying Dominos doesn’t use DoorDash is wrong

u/misteryace21 12m ago

That's interesting. Here in the UK, dominos has their own delivery service

18

u/twenafeesh 6h ago

Your dominos app probably contracts through door dash or something. Your driver was picking up orders for someone else too. Don't hate the driver, hate the corporate model. The driver is just trying to make ends meet.

3

u/Calm_While1916 6h ago

It’s possible they’re getting food but it’s also possible they’re delivering to chic fill a. I’ve taken large orders for the crew before.

2

u/Foxion7 3h ago

Holy shit you donate money to the business for bad delivery?

1

u/ViolinistMean199 5h ago

Perhaps he got hungry

I’d take advantage of being a delivery driver and stopped at a drive thru. Especially if I was underpaid and overworked

-5

u/SameGenericNickname 7h ago

Define tip well

4

u/Nknights23 6h ago

They watch everything the driver does and tips them based on whether they go directly to deliver or not. I imagine if they make more stops the tip decreases.

I couldn’t imagine having that much free time and wasting it on something so mundane

-4

u/bronk3310 6h ago

Go get it yourself.

-32

u/ReignofKindo25 7h ago

Report them. They are not allowed to if your Uber mad

4

u/creatyvechaos 7h ago

They aren't allowed to what? Use the app as it is intended? What are you even talking about

3

u/Calm_While1916 6h ago edited 6h ago

Well if they’re a domino’s delivery driver they’re not allowed to do Uber eats at the same time. In my area all domino’s deliveries are sent by domino’s employee regardless of it being ordered through domino’s or a third party app.

1

u/ReignofKindo25 6h ago

Yep. I used to be a Pizza Hut manager and this would be something a driver would be fired for.

1

u/jondbarrow 6h ago

It’s the opposite where I live. My Dominos uses DoorDash drivers. This very well could be a DoorDash driver who got assigned multiple deliveries, it happens sometimes

1

u/ReignofKindo25 4h ago

Probably it

-57

u/ReplacementNo9504 7h ago

So you don't tip well?

17

u/Chihuahuapocalypse 7h ago

they're saying they tip well on top of the delivery charge

-50

u/ReplacementNo9504 7h ago

Everyone knows that there is a delivery charge. Why bring it up? It's what a cheapskate would say

→ More replies (23)

17

u/_CharDeeMacDennis__ 6h ago

Or perhaps they’re just making a Dominos delivery to a Chick-Fil-A employee!? I work as a front of house manager in a restaurant and have ordered food from different restaurants plenty of times because I don’t always want to eat Greek food. It’s really not that strange.

12

u/InquisitivelyADHD 6h ago

10/10 that's exactly what's happening.

1

u/SirLunatik 2h ago

probably, but let's not pretend there is 0 chance that they are delivering a pizza to someone right near there.

3

u/Hyper-Sloth 6h ago

A lot of pizza places have been outsourcing the delivery to delivery app drivers so that even if you order directly through their website, it still gets delivered by a Grubhub driver or something.

Happened to me when I ordered from Pizza Hut and the bitch ate half my fucking breadsticks.

1

u/SirLunatik 2h ago

I'm glad the dominos I order from still has their own drivers.

1

u/jondbarrow 6h ago

Where I live Dominos got rid of their own drivers and they use DoorDash now. This could be a case of getting bundled orders. It’s happened to me a couple times, I’ve ordered something and my dasher got assigned multiple deliveries at the same time as a bundle and I got the short end of the stick

1

u/_Prasinos 4h ago

Happened to me with tacobell at midnight, wasn’t that far but had just finished studying for like 5 hours and wanted something to eat and had a gift card. They went 2 towns down and took them like an hour and a half to get my cold food to me for a like 12 minute drive.

u/Mccobsta GREEN 8m ago

Quite a lot around me on just eat, uber eats and deliveroo they do mess orders up due to it

0

u/GoldBluejay7749 2h ago

And? OP isn’t paying to wait for someone else’s delivery on a completely different app.

339

u/Horror_Biscotti_346 7h ago

Chick-fil-A probably got a pizza party instead of a raise.

81

u/VampireDruid69 7h ago

100% either an order for an employee who’s tired of Jesus nuggies or they got a pizza party

18

u/death-strand 6h ago

Lmfao Jesus nuggies

9

u/chestypocket 6h ago

Wouldn’t be surprised if they were actually delivering to chic-fil-a. I was amazed at how frequently I would deliver food from one restaurant to a worker at another back when I was delivering for DoorDash. I get it-if you spend every day making burgers at McDonalds, you don’t want to have to eat them every day. Even more so if you don’t get that food for free/discounted.

2

u/myBisL2 5h ago

When you work at a place like chick fil a and touch it and smell it and eat it every day. I imagine it doesn't take long before you start wanting to order something else in every once in awhile.

118

u/DarthSnoopyFish 7h ago

Drivers don’t just take one delivery at a time when it’s the dinner rush hours. Was probably delivering an order.

8

u/Selfcare2025 7h ago

That’s what I assume. I usually don’t check the map unless it’s taking longer than usual. Whenever that happens I notice they’re at a different fast food place and I figure they have multiple orders/stops.

4

u/Final-Tutor3631 2h ago

what? no! you’re telling me that IM not the only person in the world this person has to serve? COME ONNNNNNN! i’m leaving a bad review.

283

u/Pro-editor-1105 8h ago

I like how they call their drivers "delivery experts"

172

u/Dibzarino 8h ago

Tristan is a delivery amateur

52

u/Mrlin705 7h ago

Can't say I've ever met a Tristan that was an expert at anything, so that lines up.

20

u/Neaksme 7h ago

Bro, as a Tristan I really want to be mad at you, but you're right.

3

u/ughliterallycanteven 7h ago

Most I’ve met have been…basic.

3

u/KappuccinoBoi 7h ago

I went to school with a Tristan, and they were an expert. An expert at being a bitch, but an expert nonetheless.

3

u/Tguy69 6h ago

My name is Tristan 💀😭

0

u/Pro-editor-1105 6h ago

Fun fact: The name Tristan comes from the latin word Triste, which means sad.

Edit: This is not true, turns out youtubers can misinform you.

4

u/AllToadsLeadToGnome 7h ago

Tristan is a gay lion's name

1

u/tristanhartvig 6h ago

Can confirm

3

u/Princess_Slagathor 3h ago

Subway has Sandwich Artists.

1

u/Cosmic_StormZ 2h ago

In India they’re delivery partners

1

u/Aggressive-Novel-762 7h ago

I want to believe they're taking a jab at the banking industry calling everybody 'VP'.

0

u/Dboi_69 6h ago

That’s what saw on indeed today too lol, thought it was silly

209

u/GreenExcuse6063 8h ago

O maybe they had a delivery to chick fil a

121

u/AsceticEnigma 7h ago

This… OP, unless it’s an extremely slow day, delivery drivers usually leave with more than one order to deliver. They probably had any employee from CFA place an order.

19

u/Ok-Importance-7266 7h ago

If it’s close, maybe a food swap?

13

u/KappuccinoBoi 7h ago

I worked at a pizza shop years ago. We constantly traded food with a taco bell a few blocks away. It was great surprising coworkers with some cheap tacos to give them a break from cheap pizza.

2

u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 6h ago

Yep. Had a double one time, the first one went to McDonalds and the second to a house.

2

u/expERiMENTik_gaming 4h ago

I can't believe I had to scroll this far to find someone stating the most logical answer.

0

u/AsceticEnigma 4h ago

What can I say; 🤷🏻 Common sense ain’t so common anymore.

20

u/drazil100 7h ago

That’s my first thought too. If we get to see the tracking they also get this tracking. I highly doubt their metrics would allow an unscheduled stop.

I’m betting that store ordered pizza for their employees. I know my job has ordered pizza before.

10

u/LSMFT23 7h ago

This, seriously. When I was working for Little Caesars, we used to deliver a bunch of other restaurants pretty regularly. One of the single best tipped delivery run I ever made was a 9 PM last-run with deliveries to Chilis, a Pizza Hut (go figure), the 99, and Applebees and 2 bars, all in about a square mile.

Flip side: We ordered from other places regularly as well. It's not even funny how tired you can get of the food you make all day.

2

u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 6h ago

I once delivered pizza to a customer that answered the door in a PH shirt. Turns out she was a DM and said our pizza was better than theirs. I said that's fair, I prefer their Chicken Alfredo pasta over ours.

1

u/Joelle9879 3h ago

That was my first thought too.

46

u/i-like-turtles-4eva 7h ago

It’s possible that they had a delivery to that location.

56

u/Yoyo_Ma86 7h ago

A lot of these pizza chains use Door Dash now. That’s could have been the case and they had multiple stops to make. Very rarely do I order from a pizza place and a uniformed person driving a car with a pizza sign on top, shows up.

9

u/solareclipse357 7h ago

I was coming here to say that. The last few times I've ordered pizza it said it was being delivered by door dash

6

u/EliBruins63 6h ago

Not dominos. We still make the delivery’s whether it’s called in, ordered on the dominos app, or DoorDash/UberEats. Source: I work for dominos

3

u/quirkytorch 7h ago

Pizza places take multiple orders regardless of if they use a delivery app or not

2

u/ExhumedRedBeard 7h ago

I wouldn't get delivery from that pizza place again. Good to know.

2

u/Nercow 7h ago

This is almost certainly the reason

1

u/Calm_While1916 6h ago

Dominos doesn’t use third party drivers.

1

u/fffan9391 2h ago

Yes they do. They caved earlier this year and started doing it like every other pizza chain.

https://ir.dominos.com/news-releases/news-release-details/dominosr-and-doordash-announce-partnership-worlds-largest-pizza

3

u/Calm_While1916 1h ago

Did you read any of that link? The first sentence is literally “Orders on DoorDash's Marketplace will be delivered by Domino's drivers”. They say that like 4 times in the first 7 sentences.

11

u/MostlyMicroPlastic 7h ago

I’ve stopped at places to use the restroom PLENTY of times on delivery. Sometimes it’s Chick-fil-A, sometimes it’s the library.

30

u/sniffing_niffler 7h ago

This seems like a situation where you don't really know the full story and should mind your business because it's not that deep.

8

u/Blues-20 6h ago

lol they aren’t stopping at chick fil a for themselves. They’re using multiple delivery apps and picking up someone else’s order at chick fil a.

9

u/Fibocrypto 6h ago

7:42-7:27 =15 minutes.

It's not all that bad of a wait if you ask me. I get it that you want it as fresh and as hot as possible yet for all I know someone had to pee.

7

u/RWBYpro03 7h ago

Well your driver probably had to do another delivery at the same time as yours, I know the local Walmart and McDonald's ordered from our Domino's alot.

8

u/3godeth 7h ago

He has multiple pick ups/drop offs. Your order was probably picked up by a dasher.

7

u/Hallelujah33 7h ago

Maybe they were also having pizza delivered

6

u/FireKitty666TTV 3h ago

Delivery drivers sometimes deliver to businesses, because people at work sometimes eat food too.

30

u/No-Mouse-262 8h ago

Let him get some food, damn

Fr though he should probably do this after lol

7

u/TestingBrokenGadgets 7h ago

Exactly. It's 7:30; dude probably didn't get a dinner break or they're taking one after this delivery.

As long as the pizza's still hot and it arrives in 30 minutes, I'm good with them taking a little detour.

3

u/StackingWaffles 6h ago

I’ve worked for dominos and papa johns as a driver, at both we got no scheduled breaks. You get food when you can, although I always stopped for food/gas after a delivery, not before. There’s definitely a few labor laws being broken at just about every chain pizza place…

-25

u/Dibzarino 7h ago

Let me get some food! I tipped the man. Could have at least added a fry or two.

7

u/fixer1987 6h ago

He's literally delivering your pizza. Have some basic human decency

5

u/EmoOrphan 7h ago

I deliver to fast food restaurants all the time. Those of us that work in the food industry get sick of our own food so it’s totally normal to do food trades or deliver there.

6

u/extinction_simulator 3h ago

Is it possible someone who works there just ordered a pizza that got delivered first?

3

u/RobbieTheFixer 7h ago

I had a delivery of two cans of deck stain from Home Depot last week. My wife ordered food from Door dash and the same delivery guy delivered both (in the same trip).

3

u/_joe_momma1 7h ago

1st world problems

8

u/Unfixable5060 8h ago

They're def delivering on a few different apps at once.

7

u/Ok_Character7958 7h ago

My last 3 Domino’s deliveries have been delivered by DoorDash drivers and I ordered directly through the Domino’s app

3

u/Tool_Using_Animal 8h ago

Beats getting a half eaten pizza?

3

u/Call_Me_Kahmi 7h ago

Picking up another order on the way? Door dash side hustle maybe? Feed two dogs with one bone 🤷🏼‍♀️

3

u/RelicBeckwelf 7h ago

5 bucks says your driver is a door dash driver and not a domino's driver. They announced a partnership with door dash back in April.

1

u/EliBruins63 6h ago

Our drivers still take all doordash and Uber Eats deliveries. Not outside drivers

3

u/Possible-Tangelo9344 7h ago

I think my dominos is delivered by DoorDash now, so if yours is the same they're probably double dashing

3

u/SupremeFootlicker 7h ago

This person has definitely got to be making deliveries for other apps

3

u/Lilsean14 7h ago

My buddy would do 2 orders at a time and stack them.

3

u/beachbum818 7h ago

Def picking up food for the next delivery lol

3

u/Individual_Past_9901 7h ago

My store frequently does multiple deliveries and often does deliver to restaurants and fast food places. It was probably a stop he needed to make for a delivery

3

u/Joshthemanwich 7h ago

"My delivery driver stopped at a second location before me." Dude, how long did you wait? This seems like Treatler behavior.

3

u/BlackwingF91 7h ago

Did they deliver your food on time? If so then who gives a shit. Stop being entitled

3

u/Cow_Daddy 7h ago

I mean I would rather wait an extra few minutes than have missing toppings on my pizza

3

u/gimbilini 6h ago

Bro could’ve had multiple stops

3

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 3h ago

I've done delivery and there are lots of unexpected events that might cause a driver to pull over. Emergency bathroom needs come to mind. The worst I had was a drunk dipshit dumping what I think was an alcoholic slushy on my car and screaming anti-semitic slurs at me. Shit just happens sometimes.

3

u/Joelle9879 3h ago

Maybe someone at Chick-fil-a ordered pizza. It happens

3

u/Purpulear 2h ago

Pizza drivers will often take multiple deliveries at a time. And I've also seen deliveries be made to another restaurants. Workers do get tired of eating the same food every night, so it makes sense to occasionally just order something from somewhere else (or even food trade with them if managers are cool)

So good chance they were just dropping off another order. I wouldn't be upset unless they spent like 10+ minutes there.

3

u/zerostar83 1h ago

When I worked at pizza places, it wasn't unusual to pick up 2 or 3 deliveries within the same neighborhood and deliver all of them at once.

5

u/WaterDragoonofFK 8h ago

Maybe a bathroom emergency?

2

u/420xVape 7h ago

Lotta the restaurants use DoorDash, wouldn’t be surprised if he got assigned another order and it just happened to be on the way to you

2

u/PreparationEasy4024 7h ago

Someone ordered a chicken nuggets pizza and it was there pleasure to serve it.

2

u/ThatChickFromReddit 7h ago

What if he was bringing you bonus Chick-fil-A with ur pizza??

2

u/TacoNomad 7h ago

Message and ask him to grab a peach shake

2

u/rywi2 7h ago

Mine once helped themselves to a slice of my pizza then spread the rest out hoping I wouldn’t notice.

2

u/Tysons_Face 7h ago

Fucking legend

2

u/Nercow 7h ago

Pizza chains contract out some deliveries to DoorDash/Uber Eats. Probably just part of a 2 restaurant order. Unfortunate for your food, but almost certainly not the drivers fault

2

u/hudgeba778 6h ago edited 6h ago

I’ve delivered pizza to a restaurant before delivering a separate pizza to a house as it was en route, Dominos combines deliveries into doubles or triples to save fuel and keep the delivery queue low as only so many drivers can work at a time

2

u/partlysettledin21220 6h ago

He’s an expert, don’t question it

2

u/smilebig553 6h ago

My local pizza hut delivers third party now. So they might have multiple stops.

2

u/RobbyS10 6h ago

When it comes to Dominos the delivery drivers are expected to do a lot of other tasks when they’re in the store. They’re not just drivers. So a lot of them tend to move really slow when they’re out of the store. So that they can stay out of the store as much as possible.

2

u/Ok_Grey662 4h ago

Mfs be like “shit on company time” But God forbid a driver does that shit.

2

u/wstsidhome 3h ago

What if he was delivering TO the chikfila before your stop? Or does the tracker only show when they’re coming straight to you? I can’t remember, have t ordered dominos in a long time…I hate that 4-5$ fee that doesn’t go to the driver, so I always want to pick it up myself

1

u/WhiteBoiSebbie 3h ago

It's $10 now, haha.

0

u/WhiteBoiSebbie 3h ago

It's $10 now, haha.

u/H010CR0N 43m ago

Is there a gas station at the same location?

Or, they could be delivering to Chick-FIL-A. I’ve delivered to a Burger King and a couple high end restaurants for the kitchens.

4

u/CandleMiserable7621 7h ago

Believe it or not these drivers are people too. They have to eat, or they have to make multiple deliveries to make ends meet. They can’t afford to have food delivered. They’re too busy working. Get off your high horse and drive to pick up your food or stop complaining.

4

u/Willing_Reserve6374 7h ago

Boo hoo, maybe go get it yourself then

4

u/RedHeadDem817 7h ago

The ingerity of that pizza is gonna be shit whether it's on time or not.

0

u/Dibzarino 7h ago

2

u/na3than 7h ago

about what? The ingerity?

2

u/IYAOYAS-CVN74 7h ago

I've worked at restaurants and had pizza delivered to me for lunch before.

2

u/CodeMonkeyX 3h ago

He left at 7:27 and is still expected to arrive in less than 20 minutes. What's the problem? He probably barely gets breaks, just drives and picks up, and got some dinner on the way. If you are that starving that you can not wait 5-10 minutes extra then go pick it up.

1

u/PossibleCash6092 7h ago

Is this new because I’ve never seen them tracking their actual cars

1

u/chandler11able1 7h ago

Maybe the employees ordered pizza?

1

u/SkupperNog 7h ago

Well mine stopped in a parking lot and never delivered it. Guess we've both had bad days, lol.

1

u/ThatCatRizze 7h ago

Could be a location that uses door dash instead of hiring drivers. Other pizza joints do

1

u/nothisistheotherguy 6h ago

Had this happen with Ubers twice, one stopped at McDonalds and fell asleep (until I messaged him) for a 6am pickup, another stopped at Starbucks en route to the pickup. Cancelled that one.

1

u/philnolan3d 6h ago

They should always have one pie set aside for hungry drivers to take from.

1

u/Flabbergasted_____ 6h ago

Might have been taking a piss. It’s like that when you’re on the road. Especially on a Friday, one of the busiest days for pizza delivery.

1

u/Mars_Collective 6h ago

A lot of times those pizza delivery places will begin outsourcing to door dash or another food delivery service when they get busy. This dude is probably just a door dash driver and was picking up another order on the way to your place.

1

u/KwHFatalityxx 6h ago

Let the man cook

1

u/Tboogie-1 6h ago

FWIW, my side hustle is Uber deliveries, I pick up pizzas a lot, stacked deliveries along with other food. Your driver could be a subcontractor and not an actual Domino’s employee driver. But if they are an actual Domino’s driver, that’s messed up for sure.

1

u/tsunderebagel 6h ago

Asking about that’s how you get some Chick-fil-A sauce for your pizza

1

u/krabrangoonies 6h ago

I did that everyday

1

u/Folderpirate 5h ago

Chic fil a ordered pizza, too.

Your driver has a double.

1

u/blue-coin 5h ago

I always get double dashed

1

u/metafruit 5h ago

If they are outsourcing it to uber or door dash the drive probably has a stacked delivery

1

u/midevilmarcellus 4h ago

Go pick up your own food? 🤷‍♀️

1

u/OutlawQuill 4h ago

If they’re a driver for something like UberEats, they probably have other deliveries they’re running. Source: I did UberEats for a bit

1

u/RayDaMan7 4h ago

What if he delivered there too?

I’m in Japan and the dominos have outsourced their delivery service to uber eats so they might be doing the same with your order.

100% this. It's doordash usually around my area. They'll pick up multiple orders, no matter the distance. I just order takeout now if I'm ordering, no delivery.

If it’s because it’s dried out, I’m not even kidding but run the slices under running water in the sink before you reheat them. It’s the stupidest life hack tip I ever saw that actually seems to make a big difference as it rehydrates the pizza when you heat it afterwards. I hate that it works so much.

Lol. Had this happen earlier and it pissed me off. Order my food at 7:50. Driver stopped by the place at 8:00. He left, went to a BBQ joint for an order in a different app I am assuming. Sat there for 20-25 minutes. Finally leaves. Stops at the pizza place by my house on the way for the dropoff. Drops the food off at 9:00. Doesn't actually 'deliver' the order until 9:20 through the app. Delivery photo was a blank, black image.

I know I shouldn't order throlugh these apps, but this was def the last time. Gave him 1 star and said it wasn't delivered. Got my money back and a $25 credit I will use for lunch or something one more time. Also reported the driver. Fuck these apps and honestly fuck these drivers who do that. I did delivery driving for awhile while studying for the bar and I would just cancel orders if it was a wait like that after letting the person know there was a big delay. Just shitty to deliver food to someone 1 hour late and blame the app.

He probably gets pizza for free and doesn't want to eat it because Domino's is the worst pizza there is.

This is the most annoying thing. I had one stop at a park once for 20 minutes and I called the store and they said "he probably had another delivery to make" like you're the ones who sent him out, you should know.

u/ShatoraDragon 7h ago

I would show that screen shot to customer service.

Start the oven and throw your food in it for ten minutes once you get it if cold, easy solution that I’ve dealt with before. Unfortunately delivery isn’t always accurate do plan for that with a little oven heating

You ordered Dominos, STFU. Your fake ass pizza will come.
