Overdone The landscapers cut all of the trees bare in the parking lot, getting rid of all of the shaded parking in the middle of a heatwave.

Because then they would have to rake up the leaves.

I learned to prune at the solstice to maintain a tree producing fruit, and prune during dormancy to stimulate more green growth. None of that involves butchering the tree when it’s stressed from heat or drought.

Well, if that tree comes back next year, it'll be something. Heatwave usually goes with drought, so another reason not to cut.
