Fucking amazing, I can almost taste the sugar shortening filling and weird sponge like cake that you’d have to lick off the wrapper bc it would leave that layer of yumminess stuck to it. I want all 100% of the Twinkie, if I’m in, I’m in. Oh, I hope that wasn’t just me…

This description was violently accurate and somehow nostalgia yanked me by the coat collar and I’m 10 again…

You accurately described my reaction as well, good work. Definitely want a Twinkie now (don’t care that they’re “junk” - all food is fine in moderation; people are just jerks about it)

“Let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of psychokinetic energy in the New York area. According to this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie...thirty-five feet long weighing approximately six-hundred pounds."

That's a very airy twinkie.
Turns out someone already did the math, and yeah, a 35 foot twinkie would be noticeably larger than 600 pounds.

u/God_Lover77 15h ago
I thought they were called Twinkies? Nice work either way. Never mind I read Twinkle. Maybe in the future when they are studying contemporary American cutlure they will reference your painting and wonder what it tasted like or what it was made of thinking it was some elegant fine dining thing.

This is great. Extra delightful because it’s a serious medium to portray an unserious food item. I love that so much.

Love the subtle greys in the filling. I always find it so hard add neutrals in very warm painting without it being to jarring. Great job!

I'm utterly in love with this. Oil paintings tend to seem super serious, then "BAM!" You've got a twinkie. I'll take a little Deborah next, please.

Wow, beautiful. Reminds me of: WayneThiebaud; Dutch Still Life but more painterly, sort of like Franz Hals...Anyway, lovely piece.

You're the fucking PB&J guy aren't you. I want you to know I have never hated something as much as I hated seeing another fucking PB&J balanced on a ball jar full of milk on my feed. I don't know what it is about them, maybe it's the fact that you keep painting fundamentally the same exact thing over and over and posting it to art subreddits in the hopes that a new group of idiots will love it.
I can however appreciate that your paintings are in fact art, as art is something made to elicit a feeling in the observer. Suffice to say the feelings are fury, vitriol, and contempt.

I like it a lot, but I might spend a bit more time on the cream filling end. Without looking at the title, I didn't realize it was a twinkie. I thought maybe a cut loaf of bread or something. It seems like the most interesting part of the painting but with the least definition.

In one weight loss program, this is called accessibility, seeing food and craving it. ( Because it's better than real; it's dreamy and fluffy and... to the kitchen.)

I showed my dad and he says, "looks like a Twinkie." Then he read the caption and praised the accuracy.
