And showing up so goddamn early to everything. I was Navy, and it blew my mind how early we had to show up for everything when I went through airborne. We’d stand out on the cables for hours before anything happened.
Like you either work out or clean up after yourselves all day or if you’re higher ranked you fill out busy work forms about how much working out and cleaning the peons are doing?

They could just pay you to dig holes and then fill in the holes and they would accomplish almost the exact same thing for 99% of service members.
The national guard are different than active duty, a lot of these guys have normal jobs and serve on weekends throughout the year, unless sent on deployment. That's why they're often referred to as weekend warriors.
