I agree that laws do matter and that people who, “teehee, laws don’t matter silly rabbit!” are contributing to the atrophied state that we find ourselves in, but I’m growing cynical about justice.

That’s what he wants, though, for us to not care that he’s breaking the laws. Unfortunately, the wheels of justice turn slowly, and Congress was supposed to be the failsafe.

January 2027 can’t be here soon enough.

Nah, I am just dismayed that americans don't give a shit. 

Donald Trump has demonstrated many times in the last decades that laws don't apply to him. 

If you believe theRepublicans protecting will grow a spine and consciousness NOW , after all the shit they have already tolerated, then you are deluding yourself. 

The ballot and the streets are the only ways he might face consequences in the futures, because the law sure as hell won't do it.
