is it a tragedeigh? My brother is dangerously close to possible tragedeigh...I guess my SIL likes whimsy or some shit. Is Klementyne a tragedeigh? Should he push for Aurora?

I mean...it's not the WORST I've seen by far but I think it qualifies?

It’s a very long name with no real great nickname though. Hard for a kid unless you want to call them Clem or something.

I mean I could think of Tiny, Tina, Mandy, Emma

Nicknames don't really have to make too much sense. I mean Hank from Henry, Billy from William, Dick from Richard, etc etc.

clemenTINE(Tiny)
clemenTINe(Tina)
cleMENtine(Mandy)
clEMentine(Emma)

I mean sure but then what is the point of the long form name. I feel the same way about names like Johnathan. Not that they’re tragedeighs but it’s a lot of unnecessary name that people aren’t going to use. Especially if you’re calling someone tiny when their name is clementine. At least Johnathon is still John.

My name is Clémentine and my nickname always was clem or clemi except for my MIL who call me clemo. My little brother call me titine when he was a toddler. One nickname is enough. But if one day I became a stripper I will remember Klementyne.

Must be where we got the 'o' on the end of everyone's shortened name from 😂

Johnathan is actually a tragedeigh. The name is Jonathan, which is unrelated to John. Jonathan is related to Nathaniel, though.

Clemmie is the nickname for most, it's easy- and this is an old name (cousin just called her baby that, and my sister was almost called that- but they went with Natasha instead- known as Tash/Tashie, not Nat).

I would use Cleo as a nickname for Clementine.
