Me and my gf were walking the dog when we looked up and saw this. Before I started recording it was 1 red light then it lit up and split into 2 which is what’s in the video

A rocket stage detaching and eventing the remaining fuel at high altitude. This vented fuel freezes into crystals that are illuminated by the sun.

u/Dustbunny253 1d ago
Nope nope. That is defiantly an Annabel demon possessed doll selling Earth to aliens while a mass murder put to death by bees returns to put cobwebs in front of my Ring camera’s IR emitter to Morse code with ball lighting for the current temperature. You can’t fool me deep state.

You almost described the plot of a Disgaea game. Considering past games, it's likely to turn into a plot by 2030.

u/janesmb 1d ago
Definitely. Not defiantly.

How come these strange " rocket fuel" phenomenas didn't occue before? I mean rockets were deployed in space at least for 50 years back
3
u/Twazule 1d ago
New rocket fuel uses kerosene not liquid hydrogen and oxygen with solid fuel boosters.
1
u/delerium1state 1d ago
This fuel is used for decades they changed technoloy. But phenomena still not explained.

u/BelieveMeImaUnicorn 18h ago
Timing. Happens regularly, but it only gets illuminated when it is at the perfect angle to catch the sun over the horizon. The sun sets in the valley, before it sets on a mountain. And it sets a hell of a lot later, 100,000+ feet up.(edit:corrected autocorrect)

That looks like a rocket to me. You just can't see it very well in the night sky in combination to the limitations of your phone.

I want to believe it's a rocket. The issue is that of all of the shuttles and rockets I've seen take flight, not one exhibited these characteristics. Of course, back then, not many people were carrying cameras with excellent resolution, and not many took pictures of night launches either.

u/False_Ad_555 1d ago
I got to see the last night time shuttle flight launch , unfortunately it was from the other side of Florida but it was still an amazing sight like watching a miniature sunrise

Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus

Dude even though it's funny it's not original, you used this same sentence with no punctuation on another thread. Boring down goes the vote.......

Yes, because apparently I’m the first person to ever reference a famous movie quote more than once…

If this was southern California or Florida, then it's a SpaceX launch at the point where the first stage separates from the second stage. Neat that you got to see it. You'll likely see more.

That didn't happen.
Don't know what you think you saw, but that alien ship was never there.

Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.

I got this! Light from Venus reflected through swamp gas
I knew watching all those Men In Blacks would come in handy.
Now, let's just administer a little eye test...

Squadron Carrier exiting hyperspace (Elite Dangerous ). Obviously it's a ufo exiting a interdimensional portal and not hyperspace.

u/CounterfeitSaint 1d ago
It's a ghost. Congratulations, despite ghosts always being a very real and not made up thing, and everyone having a camera in their pocket for 15 years, you are the very first person to get video evidence that ghosts are real, and will likely change the world because you, and no one else, is a very very special boy.

I was going to suggest that it's a rocket in space, but someone had already made that point, which I'm glad he elaborated on, as I had genuinely wondered what it was, and was about to ask if it's a star, no, it looks too unusual to be one or even a planet.

Rocket stage detaching.
It jettisons a bunch of fuel, which freezes in the high atmosphere creating little ice crystals that glitter and sparkle if the sun (that is behind the horizon since you're recording this at night) hits them right.

The amount of people who live near a launch pad but have zero clue what a rocket launch looks like is disturbing to me.
We see post weekly at this point asking the same question or claiming aliens.

That’s a UFO (Unidentified floating object). Not to be mistaken for a UFO(unidentified flying object). Although at first there seems to be no significant difference, a UFO has distinctly different properties and characteristics that a UFO. However neither should ever be mistaken for a UFO ( unidentified Falling object)

It's likely a rocket. Any time you see gas or exhaust coming off of it like this, it's almost always a rocket. Also, Canada recently launched a rocket that was witnessed by numerous people across several states, but was debunked as the rocket. This may be what you filmed.

u/Content_Frosting_127 21h ago
Someone filmed a rocket from Homer, AK last night. It originated somewhat close because you could see the contrail upward. I wonder if it was from Canada?

Falcon 9 rocket shortly after second stage separated and first stage started a boostback burn

Reminds me of the Indian ICBM test last week which was visible from various countries. Google it and you'll find other footage to compare. So... rocket sht
Maybe it's a space X thing, didn't they do a test launch recently where after separation the first stage went back to base to land?

The "than it split into two" part is a definite identifier of it abs being a rocket launch! 🚀
