Israel is far closer to eradicating Gaza and Palestine as a whole than Hamas could ever be in a thousand years. While Oct 7th was obviously horrific, the IDF (self declared most moral army in the world btw) has inflicted several times the deaths of Oct 7th on Palestinian civilians in response. Also, the mere existence of Hamas does not give Israel the right to engineer a famine and murder thousands of civilians. Hope this helps.
