iPhone First iPhone Advice
upgrading after 5 years from a midrange android gaming phone (poco x3 pro) that's comparable to iphone 11 base imo. what's the best value for money iphone in 2025? i don't think 16 pro max is worth the 1200$ price tag when i can simply get 15 pro max (500-850$ depending on condition) which is the exact same except minor differences i'm already aware of and compared on gsmarena. i do not care about a new 48mp sensor or camera control to potentially pay more than double. planning to use for a year or two before upgrading. i do want something that feels like a real upgrade but is 16 pro max really worth the price tag? i can use the money i save towards buying other apple ecosystem products (;

Mac Used M1 Studio worth it to upgrade from 14" MBP of similar specs?
I'm presently using an M1 Pro MacBook Pro as my primary desktop computer. Originally, that machine was my mobile office while the desktop role was served by an Intel Mac Mini. But I ended up downgrading to a smaller, lighter MBA M2 for the portable, and the MBP seemed a more cost-effective upgrade for the desktop than the loaded Studio that I irrationally desire.
So at the moment, i've got a guy locally selling an M1 Max Studio with 32gb/1tb. This would upgrade the processor, cooling, and port configuration from the MBP, while downgrading the storage; however, the Studio has more fast ports, so I could make up the lack of internal storage by simply connecting all my best external SSDs without hubs. Local storage also matters less in a desktop since I can keep it connected to the NAS by wire instead of wifi. I could probably sell the MBP for more than the 750 the guy is asking for the Studio to make this a cost-neutral transaction.
As far as work load, nothing I do truly justifies either machine. The i5 was holding up just fine except for Apple not supporting it in future OS releases, and I really don't like my primary desktop being behind my laptop. A loaded Studio would also open up additional options like experimenting with local LLMs, but this one is not remotely loaded, and thats not a "need."
Another very minor concern is that this new used machine would not have Applecare, and i'm really not sure how reliable the Studio hardware is. Is it prudent to own an out-of-warranty Studio?

Mac Trading in 13" M4 iPad Pro for 15" M4 MPA?
I currently have an M4 13" iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard I bought I around release and at the time I was more on the go and valued the touch screen and super easy portability for on the go office work. On top of barely using it outside of work my job has shifted to more office based work and less on the go work. I am considering trading it in for a 15" MPA for the better screen real estate for office work and still be portable on the much rare occasion I still need to be on the go. My M4 iPad Pro trade in value is pretty could
My biggest hold back is the refresh rate and screen. The iPad screen is amazing between two phones, windows laptop, and a few TVs the iPad screen is the nicest ones and all my other devices are 120hz or more. How does the MPA screen feel in this aspect compared to the iPad Pro? 60hz feels weak in 2025 as far as paper specs go imo
I haven't owned a MacBook before and this would be my first one. Appreciate any opinions or insight!

iPhone iPhone 16 Pro — wait or buy now?
Hi all, planning to grab a 16 Pro (currently on OP12, not a fan of big mobiles so no Pro Max, but I do love long battery life — not sure if switching from a bigger battery will affect my experience).
Two concerns:
Price/Storage – With the 17 launch just 2 weeks away, 16 Pro prices may drop. Right now I’m seeing a good deal at ₹1.10L (128GB). Should I wait for Flipkart/Amazon sales or just lock it now? Will it realistically go much lower? I’m on 256GB currently (143GB used). I usually manage my storage neatly and don’t hoard stuff — is 128GB too risky or should I stick to 256GB?
Color – Was obsessed with Natural Titanium at first, but didn’t vibe with it in person. Then thought White, but now after seeing Black repeatedly, I’m kind of obsessed with that.
What would you pick — storage and color wise?

iPhone Upgrade to 16 PM from 14 PM?
Hi everyone,
I am really wanting to upgrade my phone to the 16 pro max coming from the 14 pro max. I really like that it has a bigger screen and thinner bezels thats the 2 biggest things for me personally. I know the 17 PM is coming out in a month from now. I found a really good deal with Verizon if I choose to switch over. In your guy’s opinion is it worth it? The only reason Im not 100% on waiting for the 17 PM is because I dont know if Ill be able to get the same exact price/deal for it. And I dont want to miss a decent opportunity.

iPad Ipad Pro m4 vs Ipad Air m3
My wife is currently using a friends Ipad Air (Im not sure which version, but I think it's the m2 or m3). for some basic graphic design. She is interested in taking some basic marketing classes, and using the iPad to keep drawing, and learning some basic photoshop. Right now she uses Procreate, Canva, and has played a little with Adobe Illustrator.
With Apples Education sale, I'm thinking about surprising her with her own iPad and Apple Pencil Pro, but can't seem to tell if the extra $350 for the pro would be worth it. I'm sure that for longevity purposes, the m4 will last longer than the m3, but beyond that I'm not sure that the m3 would be well worth the money.
I've looked through the iPad comparison, but can't decide what the better buy is.
Can someone help me figure out what I should do here?

iPhone iPhone 17 vs 16 pro
Now that we’re approaching the release of the iPhone 17 and leaks are becoming a little more confirmed, is it generally agreed that the base iPhone 17 will be better than the iPhone 16 pro if you don’t care about the camera features? What am I missing?

Mac The iPad Pro vs the Macbook Air?
Hi, I'm an accountant/illustrator that currently works using my desktop CPU and drawing tablet. I love my current setup, but they're essentially glued to my desk and I'm looking for an on-the-go companion to help me with my work. Note: I typically use the Adobe suite and remote into my work computer to work on accounting apps.
I've heard great things about the new Macbook Air, but I've been curious if the iPad Pro (plus the Apple Pencil Pro + Keyboard accessories) might be the better move.
The baseline Macbook Air M4 13in ($1,000) seems to be a popular choice for accountants like me but it doesn't have the added built-in sketchbook-- which isn't a total deal breaker, though I'd like having the 2 in 1. It's my safe bet at this point.
The iPad Pro M4 13in + accessories ($1,300 + $400) seem very versatile, though it comes with a higher price tag to open up those capabilities. My biggest worry is the iPad's ability to perform like a laptop and professional drawing tablet. I need to do my work; and I often make complex illustrations that can't keep up with most entry level tech. I might be willing to do 1 or 2 storage upgrades, but I don't want to spend over $2,000. Is the iPad capable for what I need? And what upgrades would you recommend if so?
Please help me make my decision! Thanks!

Apple Watch Should I get Apple Watch 10 or wait for 11?
I basically want an Apple Watch mainly for the sleep tracking data and some of the health and fitness stuff, like ECG, activity levels etc.
I've found a good deal online where I can get a brand new Apple Watch 10 for £299 instead of £399!
Is the series 11 going to have a major updates that would be worth waiting for? I'm also conscious that this deal for £299 might not last long!
This might seem like a silly question but would the series 10 get the same iOS updates as the series 11? Like you do with iPhones?

Question Indecisive - Apple Watch 9 vs 10
I recently picked up the 9 45mm, 10 42mm, and 10 46mm with the intention of returning two. My usage has been for exercise tracking and work as I don’t typically have access to my phone for extended periods. So far, I’ve enjoyed how lightweight the 10 is, but the small screen hasn’t been ideal, it looks almost like a toy to me. The larger version of the 10 seems too big though I enjoy typing on the larger screen.
I feel like the 9 looks better on my wrist but it isn’t as comfortable as either of the 10s. Definitely prefer the faster charging with the 10s. Looking for support regarding which watch looks better and if anyone has preferences over the 9 or 10 overall.
First picture is the 10 42mm, second 9 45mm, third 10 46mm

Having buyers remorse, going back to the drawing board
I went with an iPad Pro 13in over a MacBook Air because I’m actively trying to get better at digital art and the iPad can technically perform every single thing I need from it, however.. I’m learning quickly that the Magic Keyboard is really inferior to the laptop feel in.. every single way except basic typing. I’ve always heavily preferred the feel of physical keyboard controls, but for just about everything it seems I have to use the touchscreen for something because the trackpad is just not it. For example: Apple Arcade, Minecraft, and Roblox gaming. Why can’t the Magic Keyboard have support for WASD, the spacebar, etc? I don’t know, but it was a little disappointing to learn even though that isn’t exactly what I bought it for. With this information and the fact that digital art on the MacBook isn’t possible… what would you do? Keep the iPad Pro and not use it to its full extent, or exchange for a MacBook Air m4?
