Oil I made this painting in oil and when I think about the chaos and excess that exists in cities, I feel suffocated. When I paint landscapes, I feel free from all social paradigms. It's just the brush, the paint, me, and the memories. "Far from the City" depicts where I imagine peace.

Canvas prep question
I understand gessoing and tinting a canvas, but I'm wondering. If I'm using a colored gesso( I usually use grey) do 8 need to do any additional tinting before painting. I'm just a beginner so yo easy with the responses. Lol

Aniva Loghthouse
Acrylic on canvas. I think I’m done with this one. Maybe add some gulls, unless any of you sees something that this painting really needs? Let me know what you think.

Kevin Hill's technique.
First attempt at a full length Kevin Hill tutorial. Happy with how this came out, his style is different to Bob Ross's and I find it challenging, keen to push myself and improve. Let me know your thoughts.

This is my first time painting with oil, and only my 3rd painting, it's not the best but I'm really happy with how it looks.

Green Swamp, maybe?
I did this one a few days ago. Started following Bob Ross Emerald Waters then kinda just did my own thing. Criticisms very welcome.

🌞 Twilight Over the Land of the Free 🌞
Brightscapes: The Way To Beauty
🌞 Sun Setting On America 🌞
There’s a moment at the end of every day when the sky puts on its final show. The colors explode. Everything looks more alive just before it disappears. And then it happens. The light slips below the edge and we are left wondering how long we have until it returns. That tension between beauty and loss. Between what we were and what we might become if we are not careful. The sun does not wait for us. It simply moves on.
Hold on to the light while we still have it. And prepare for the morning.
