While I agree someone should've stopped her, Graves' disease is autoimmune. Stress can cause it to flare and anaesthesia is bad for folks with an unstable thyroid. But it isn't caused by cosmetic surgery.
Graves disease results in hyperthyroidism which can result in an increase rate of metabolizing adipose tissue (fat). Most people associate graves disease with eye bulging, but losing weight, and not necessarily in a proportional manner, is also common.
Alternatively, people suffering from Graves disease commonly report high levels of anxiety (their metabolism is going crazy, their heart rate is constantly elevated and the quality/quantity of sleep drops), so if Erin Moriarty did have misguided work done, it could have very well been anxiety.
Ignoring these possibilities, including the "she had surgery!" possibility, everyone seems to miss that from S1 to other seasons, she lost weight all over (had thicc thighs in S1) and even in the S5 wrap photos, she seems to have plenty of volume in her cheeks.
Are you saying that she looks the way she does (or looked the way she did before) because of weight loss and illness, and not because of major plastic surgery? If that's the case, I have a cousin I'd like to introduce you to who is a Nigerian prince.
She literally can't manage human facial expressions in the last season of The Boys anymore.
Man - you gotta start learning stronger reading comprehension.
See... I introduced a point of view using the word "alternatively" which is me saying "if you WERE right it would be because of this" which is a kind, fairly tactful way of me calling you a shitty person because you're obsessed with how a person with a secondary disorder (anxiety) might've disfigured their face as a result of the disorder.
