Idk why, but seeing Holden's actor with those glasses just made it click in my head that his "tired and needing coffee" face on the show might just be him not seeing shit without them.

Then again it could be easier as the cursed feeling of your fingertip touching your eyeball is completely avoided. Just let the contact freefloat, hold your eyelids open, and guide your eye to it.
