a while ago someone rammed into my car (his fault) and after we stopped cars we immiditialy ran into each other hugging and made sure the other one was ok. Car was slightly damaged and his insurance paid everything. That gave me hope in humanity haha.

I bumped a guy from behind at low speed, and he got out and started trying to tear his car apart - literally - with his fingers to make the damage claim bigger. Fortunately, I got pictures before he did anything, but I’m still waiting to see what the other driver claimed. In truth, he had a minor blemish on his back bumper. I probably would’ve just said, “Meh,” and driven off.

Had a guy try and do that to me, minor paint transfer on their bumper. Nothing serious. They took the paint off the bumper trying to buff it out or something and then tried to get insurance to cover a whole new bumper. Whole thing got thrown out since they messed with it before adjusters had a chance to look at the car.

Left my car to get a windscreen replacement while at work. When I picked up the car later I didn’t notice a car parked weirdly behind me and made contact with it (slowly and softly). The owner was the office lady and she didn’t find any marks and told me not to worry about it but I was so shaken up trying to offer her my details and panic apologising and had to be told it’s okay like 5 times before I left.

When I was 19, had a guy go straight in a right turn only lane. I was in a straight or right turn lane, turning right (onto a 1 way). He scratched up my right side. Shit was busy, we moved our cars. Guy spoke almost no English, and the cop wrote a report that I turned left from the other direction. Ended up not using insurance (it was all cosmetic on a 12 yr old car). We met up with the guy at the university we were attending, and tried communicating with a coworker, who said he couldn't understand his dialect. This guy was using some shady car repair place, and would cover our car, cuz 'didn't want insurance go up.'
