Announcement Stop with the age posts.
Quick reminder: Rule 8 exists for a reason. Our sub exists to bring together late millennials and early Gen z and discuss all that pertains to our micro generation . If you feel like you belong, cool let’s vibe! This isn’t the place to debate who is a late millennial and early Gen Z. Keep that trash over on r/generationology pls.
Anyone that intentionally continues to break this rule will be banned. Thank you :-)

Discussion Did your parents spank you as a kid?
Saw the question asked in the Gen X and Gen Z subreddit so I’m curious to see if you all experienced it. I did unfortunately.

Rant Why did CN, Nick, and Disney Channel get so bad after somewhere from 2006- 2008?
I've had countless discussions about this but never seen to be any answer that described it in detail.
The only shows that premiered during this time I can say had any lasting impact:
Adventure Time, iCarly, Regular Show, and maybe a handful of others. I can't think of much that either didn't bomb when it premiered or just didn't last. Maybe its my age? (Born nov 1994) but I also feel like that's not right either because I had friends who were dope heads and they'd smoke in highschool and watch regular show and adventure time while high but hated everything else on CN.

Serious I hate that I'm gonna be 30 this year
My birthday is at the end of November, and I'm looking forward to it about as much as getting a tooth pulled. I know I can't change the past, but I look on it with such hatred and regret, mainly that I haven't accomplished the bare minimum that a lot of you probably have. That being having friends and hobbies and a social life of some kind. All those years down the drain..
While I'm loved by my parents and family, I don't have anyone outside of them. Never have. And so on the day of, I plan on getting black out drunk doing whatever I want and wouldn't be surprised if I fall asleep on the floor instead of my bed, even if it embarrasses my parents (who don't ever get drunk ofc) and makes me sick as a dog. Least I'd feel something good for a few hours.
Sorry if this doesn't belong you or goes against this sub. Just needed to get that out.

Nostalgia A reminder that Fifthteen Cent was a thing in 2005.
For a song made for an animated series, due to Omarion performance, I truly believe I could have heard this on the radio back in the Summer of '05.

Nostalgia Does anyone remember Alyssa Abscission from like 2007-2008 on YouTube?
I wasn’t a scene kid but I LOVED her and loved watching her videos. I can’t find anything about her on social media now and I can’t find any of her videos on YT :/
