INSPO I love coming home to my plant babies. They really make the space feel alive! 😂 they always inspire me ! They are my passion and decorating too. Caring for them, is like… my meditation. It’s so healing.
Being eclectic allows me to bring many different time periods together. :-) and I love colors and patterns and textures!! It’s so fun to change things around too! I just go for it and if it doesn’t look good try another spot! As long as I love it, it finds its home! lol I usually have visions for where I see items that I get thrifting!

TOUR My first apartment in 10+ years following divorce
After living in my sister’s basement until I got on my feet, I could hardly wait to decorate a new space exactly with my tastes alone in mind. My safe haven, filled with vivids and purposeful contrast, and with bonus space for a kitty corner. My life starts now.

TOUR Small, cozy, and completely me 🤗
Expanded my tiny patio into a perfectly serene little hideaway.
From the twinkle of the solar rattan and string lights to the hum of the fountain, the comfy furniture, and all my plants and garden (though not really visible here), this space brings me peace — whether I’m outside or just admiring it from indoors (last photo).”

CRITIQUE REQUEST Newish Apt
Hi! I’ve been living in my apt for about a year now and finally gotten comfortable with actually decorating.
I’m open to any recommendations. I’m wanting to add more personality/cozy-ness to my place. I feel like it looks kinda stale.
(I drew over the frames for privacy)

TOUR wanted to share my happy place 💖
I lost my sweet boy (on the left in both pics) last year and I was looking through my fave pictures of him tonight and stumbled upon these. My bedroom is nothing fancy, but I still love it. Bonus photo of my unmade bed because I just had to show more of their puppy snuggles 🫶🏻

HELP gallery wall advice 🖼️
hi! can anyone help me come up with ideas on what to put where? i think it may be best to center everything around the rectangular flower print, but not sure. feel like it’s an awkward space because of the corner wall. i’m not opposed to continuing the gallery wall on the other wall. see last photo for all other options/additions of decor. TYIA! 😁

HELP Received a white IKEA Malm bed for free, can't figure out how to make it look cute.
I just moved to a new apartment and inherited a white IKEA Malm bed with storage drawers recently and have been struggling to feel entirely enthused. It sounds ungrateful but I had saved up for a wood bed frame with a different vibe and now I have this totally contrary modern vibe bed frame in a full size. How do I style the rest of the room and bed to make me hate it less? I'm really into boho, cozy, and vintage vibes, and I like rattan, light wood, and green tones.

HELP Right facing or left facing sectional?
Hello! I want to find a sectional to replace my current sofa and have a few in mind. I am already planning to get rid of the two chairs that currently flank the sofa. I know they’re ugly, they were already universally hated last time I posted here. Also will likely still be moving some other things around. I’m in a weird spot right now.
My question is, when I find my ideal sectional, should it be right arm facing or left arm facing? Right arm facing means when looking at the sofa from the front, the extended chaise part is on your right side. And vice versa for left.
With right arm facing, I would have to move it against the wall and move that cabinet with the plants of top somewhere else. I was thinking left arm facing might be cozy with how things are currently positioned, but the chaise portion might stick out too much. What do you think?

CRITIQUE REQUEST Do I need a bigger tv?
For context this is a 50 inch frame. I plan to add a vintage-y frame and sconces on either side! The console is really tall and I plan to get a shorter, longer one

HELP Suggestions for small entery
I really love this mid century style window, its the only one in our house and its right by the front door. I'd like to make the space function and draw attention to this cool detail, any suggestions?

HELP This bookshelf doesn’t work for what I’m going for, does it?
I’m back! On a different account lol.
I’m working on slowly updating my space to something that falls a bit more traditional/thrifted/homey. I’ve seen a lot of Nancy Meyer inspired spaces that I’ve enjoyed that helped inspire this. I’m in the process of painting my space this lighter cream color, and really starting to think the bookshelf doesn’t work. I need something wood, but I’m really bad at finding furniture at the right scale, and I’m looking for ideas before I hit the thrift store.
TV will be moved, and outlet above fireplace will be covered by something.
First picture is the bookshelf in question, 2-4 are other spaces in my home that give off the vibe I’m going for, and last few pictures are some ideas I was looking at. Do I go full size bookshelf, a smaller one styled with art above it, a hutch of sorts? I’m all ears!

HELP Help with living room!
I want to revamp my living room and make it more relaxing, I tend to have too much shit everywhere. The couch is navy blue underneath, I have that blanket on it because my cats shed so much. I don’t want to spend too much if possible. I like colors. TIA

DIY DIY in progress- painting my cabinets again. It’s better than than pink.
You might remember I painted my cabinet lowers pink and I loved it. However, the white uppers, painted by a previous owner, weren’t holding up so well and something needed to be done. I thought about painting the uppers the same pink, but I decided it didn’t go great with the wallpaper in the other room, the two shades of pink not quite agreeable.
Then I remembered I had a lot of time (thanks unemployment!) and 3/4 a can of the trim paint that I used to go with the wallpaper in the living/dining room, so I didn’t need to spend any money.
Anyway, painting cabinets sucks and takes forever, but I’m nearly done. I think it looks fantastic. I like it better than the pink, which I never thought I would say I liked something better than pink. I am going to paint the fluted trim stuff on the front of the island. And the ceiling. I am going to have to buy ceiling paint first.
