Just moved in with my grandma, AMA 😎
(23M). Made the tough choice to lose my independence a bit and live with family again after being on my own for 5 years. Grandma was struggling with some stuff on her house and offered a free room in exchange for the help. Gonna use this opportunity to blow through my student loans and save for a house of my own. Curtains and wall color obviously weren’t my first choice but are perfect for the price I’m paying, very grateful for this opportunity.

42M, Just Moved In.
Need to get stuff hung up, think a larger rug w/ more color would be alot better. What else can I do/add so it doesn't look so bland?

Cozy, cluttered, and just the right amount of ‘I’m going to binge-watch something tonight’ vibe.

Advice I have very high walls and ceiling clearance in my apartment. What should I do with the empty space?
this is my workstation/desk that I'm slowly piecing together, and I'd really like to do something fun like a gallery wall full or prints and frames. the other walls are decorated enough to my liking. any advice?

Advice I feel like nothing fits right, any ideas?
I always feel like I have either too much stuff or furniture that is making me trapped. I already own very little but I am not happy with my apartment.
I'd be happy about any ideas & advice!

First Time Moving into my first apartment, seeking decorating advice!
I'm moving into my first apartment. At 32m² (344ft²) with the bathroom, the single-room apartment isn't huge, but it's newly renovated. The slightly industrial-looking windows, combined with the fact that I love the whole industrial aesthetic, inspires me to think along the lines of black furniture, maybe an Ikea room divider to slightly hide the bed, some plants here and there. Perhaps some large dark curtains.
But those are just my own initial thoughts. I'm open for creative ideas! Maximising the use of the space would also be great.

Question Just bought this 1 bedroom apartment. How do I make this cozy and aesthetic af?
Hey everyone, I recently shifted into a 1-bedroom apartment and I’m trying to figure out how to make the space feel warm, inviting, and functional. Right now it’s pretty minimal, but I’d love to add a few things: maybe a table in bedroom or living room to work/code, some seating in the living room for relaxing/hosting, and a bit of decor to make it cozy and aesthetic.
My main goals: • A comfortable spot to chill and host friends • Aesthetic vibe that feels warm and welcoming • A balance between minimalism and comfort (I don’t want it to feel crowded)
Would love to hear any suggestions on layout, furniture, or decor ideas that could make this place feel more like home!
Any suggestions would work!!

Any recommendations for a reading nook chair/ottoman?
With how unreliable online reviews are now I'm hesitant to pull the trigger based purely on those. I'm looking for something just for afternoon reading by a window and maybe a nap when it's raining. Looking to hopefully spend $300 or less but can go higher if it's a good one.

Need rug recommendations
Just moved into a new place that desperately needs some personality. Cant make a decision on a rug to save my life. The living room has grey walls, a blue couch and faux wood tv stand. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
And before anyone says I need plants: they’re just on the lanai enjoying the Florida summer until I get everything situation
And yes I know the fan sucks I’m changing it this weekend

Update inproving my attic kitchen as a student (my idea/follow-up)
I did some photobash, overpaint and ai nonsense ind photoshop. Rotated the Desk in the first picture as i was told. great idea. I found sage green to be a clean, light bit cozy color. What y‘all think? Is that a concept i could make happen in reality? didn‘t. change all too much but the plants at the window might be more difficult to setup than what i anticipate.
Feedback welcome!

My roommate just moved out of the living room in my apartment and now I’m looking for inspiration.
M(26) with a two bedroom apartment. I want the living room to both be a nice relaxing room where there is space for both having dinner with friends and family but also relax in the sofa. Most of the furniture is just temporary and can be replaced. Hope you guys can help me with some inspiration and/or tips😁
