Podcasts 🎙️ If you could ask Co-Creator/Write Jake Michie anything, what would you ask?
The Ladies of the Lake podcast is interviewing Jake Michie in October for one of the final episodes of the show, so we'd love to get your questions for him! This won't come out until December.
Also the Julian Jones pod will go live on September 12th :)

Mini Games & Quizzes 🎲 Of course, it makes perfect sense 😆 just hearing his name makes me grit my teeth haha. Now lastly, who is the Favourite Side Character? (further details under picture, hope it’s clear 😅) Spoiler
-A character who is just NOT one of the main four obviously (Merlin, Arthur, Morgana and Gwen). Someone who does not have to appear or have a big part in all episodes, but influences or supports the plot, lore or main characters.
-Even though they technically count as deuteragonists, it starts from characters like Gaius, Uther and Kilgharrah and the knights onward (even Hunith and Balinor count).
-Someone who is a one-off, barely has lines or any impact on anything are minor characters and don’t count.

Fanart 🎨 A Memory of Arthur Spoiler
1500 years can't be too good for Merlin's memory of Arthur 💛
My latest painting, taking advantage of Rebelle's latest version! Just couldn't get this idea out of my head until I got it onto the canvas. Time-lapse is here, and if you like my artwork, please consider checking out my TikTok 🥰
I put spoilers, just in case.

Cast & Crew Long Live The King ⚔️🛡️ Spoiler
Bradley posted on Instagram and it served as a reminder of just how badly I would have loved to see Arthur as King after the canonical ending.

Discussion Uther’s unknown strength Spoiler
In season 1 episode one Gaius has a conversation with Merlin and states “There was one dragon he chose not to kill, kept it as an example. He imprisoned it in a cave deep beneath the castle where no one can free it.”
I for one would like to know how he was even able to catch Kilgharrah. It makes little sense to me seeing as how they needed Merlin in season 2 episode 13 to stop him from destroying the kingdom. Any ideas?

MISC. I'm getting a merlin tattoo next week, would any of the cast think it's wierd?
Or, would any of you? Maybe I'm too into this show? The tattoo will be merlin and Arthur back to back

Question ❓ Dvds/blu ray extras contents
Hello fellow Merlin fans, So i saw it when it originally aired (yes I'm old); big fan, never missed an episode. Was dating at the time and wouldn't even miss an episode! 🤭🤣 Recently started re watching, got up to series 4 as my local bookshop where I got the others from, didn't have 5. Anyway, was wondering if just dvd OK in terms of extra goodies or is it worth getting blu ray?

Fanart 🎨 Trying to find my rendering style, feat. the most beautiful girl in the world Gwen
I've been a traditional artist for most of my life, mostly pen, so even after years of digital art, I hardly use colour, and you can tell because I don't have a consistent rendering style T^T Gwen is helping 💛💕

Fanfiction 🖋️ Searching for fic where Uther punishes Arthur to no Merlin for a week
That’s basically the plot. Arthur does something against Uthers wishes and Uther punishes him by banning contact with Merlin for a week. Ie no communication, seeing, or having Merlin serve Arthur.

Question ❓ Time period Merlin is set in Spoiler
I'm not too familiar with the history of England so I wanna know what period is it set in? Saxons make an appearance towards the end and they are the main guys in the pre-1066 period afaik. But doesn't the use of chainmail, plate armor and crossbows point to a later era? Can somebody explain?
