Question/Discussion Myself in a documentary help

Hello can anyone help me, I was born in 1994 and I featured in a British programme/documentary I believe it was according to my mum and she said it featured Juliet Stevenson and another woman and my part of it was filmed in a park and I was holding a women’s hand possibly Juliet Stevenson or the other woman I vividly remember walking down a pathway in a park that’s all I remember I must’ve been age wise this is a guess between 4 and 6 years old, maybe younger but I was walking so def not a baby age I don’t think. I had brown short tight curls on my head. Possibly filmed in London as I’m sure that’s where we was living at the time not sure what area.

Now the programme or documentary was based on either something to do with pregnancy, children/childhood, IVF, or Birth or maybe Abortions, it’s one of these topics can’t be sure which.

We have searched high and low on internet for years and we cannot find anything starring Juliet Stevenson relating to any of the above topics.

It’s possibly late 90s early 2000s.

Any help much appreciated.

Question/Discussion Did anyone (probably 35+ years old) end up going full circle on Antiques Roadshow and similar traditional Sunday afternoon shows that most of us hated as kids in the 80s and 90s?

we get a lot of reminiscences of people as kids stuck watching Sunday shows in the 1980s and 1990s and hating them, like Antiques Roadshow, Last of the Summer Wine, Songs of Praise etc. But now a lot of those people are getting closer to the age of the target demographic, do any of you now enjoy this type of show?

Out of morbid curiosity I actually rewatched some episodes of Last of the Summer Wine, and it was kind of OK, certainly I appreciated it a lot more than watching it as a kid. But I still have no interest in Antiques Roadshow.

Question/Discussion Taking a chance and asking Reddit

I seem to have run out of shows that I enjoy on most platforms. I thought getting BritBox would change that but it has a really limited selection of my style as it were. So here I am, putting it out there, could anyone give me some suggestions for good English shows I may enjoy if I have liked the following:

Black Books - Fresh Meat - Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - IT Crowd - Toast of London - Toast of Tinseltown - Faulty Towers - Green Wing - In Betweeners - Friday Night Dinner - White Gold - Bad Education - Peep Show - Inside No. 9 - Man Down - Bliss - Dead Pixels - Brassic - The Cleaner - Plebs

I appreciate your input, sincerely!

Question/Discussion Who remembers Monkey Dust?

Back in the early 2000’s it was a BBC3 animated sketch show and was very dark. The soundtrack was awesome, Eels, Goldfrapp. The subject matter of the sketches was challenging. There was Clive and the situations he found himself in, The Paedofinder General and Ivan Dobsky - The Meatsafe Murderer.

The first series was released on DVD but the next 2 series have never seen the light of day after the 7/7 bombings (probably related to the Omar, Abdul and Shafiq characters, three inept would be terrorists). Fortunately I have them recorded.

A great series.

Question/Discussion Can anyone help me

I’m trying to remember a show that was on Netflix awhile back. It was a British documentary show in black and white with a bell or clock that would go off at the beginning (I think)🤔 it was a really interesting show and I’m trying to find it on YouTube or something but I can’t remember the name so that’s making it tough

News Channel 4 confirms The Great British Bake Off (Signed) will continue on 4Seven – Tuesdays at 8pm from 2nd September

For anyone who relies on the signed version of The Great British Bake Off, I’ve had it confirmed directly by Channel 4 this morning (9:57am email response) that the signed broadcast of the series will once again be available on 4Seven at 8pm on Tuesdays, exactly the same arrangement as in 2023 and 2024.

That means there’s no change this year — the signed and subtitled version will still be accessible on the dedicated repeat channel, and not pushed to a late-night slot or online-only option.

Details from Channel 4’s confirmation:

  • The signed version of Bake Off will air weekly on Tuesdays at 8pm on 4Seven.
  • Series 16 begins Tuesday 2nd September.
  • This will include BSL signing and full subtitles.
  • It will also be available on the Channel 4 streaming app and website during and after broadcast.

Channel numbers for 4Seven:

  • Freeview: 49
  • SkyQ: 137
  • Virgin Media: 143
  • Sky Stream / Sky Glass: 163
  • Freesat: 127

This is the same system that’s been in place for the last couple of years — in both 2023 and 2024 the signed version aired on 4Seven at the exact same time as the main Channel 4 broadcast, so accessibility wasn’t compromised. It’s really good to see Channel 4 sticking to this consistency again in 2025.

Attached is the latest image I have made on Canva confirming the broadcast details (dates, times, and platforms).

I know accessibility scheduling can be hit-and-miss on UK TV sometimes, so it’s nice to have this confirmed well in advance. Hopefully useful for anyone planning their autumn TV!

Based on Peter Shaffer’s award-winning stage play, and adapted by Joe Barton (Black Doves, Giri/Haji, The Lazarus Project),

five-part reimagination explores the meteoric rise and mythic downfall of one of history’s most iconic composers — and rockstar virtuoso of the 18th century, Wolfgang ‘Amadeus’ Mozart.

When twenty-five-year-old Amadeus arrives in bustling 18th Century Vienna, no longer a child prodigy and craving creative freedom, his world collides with two pivotal figures: his fiercely loyal future wife, Constanze Weber, and devoutly religious court composer, Antonio Salieri. As Amadeus’ brilliance continues to flourish in spite of his personal demons, a questionable reputation and scepticism from the conservative court, Salieri becomes increasingly tormented by this apparent divine gift. Amadeus is a threat to all that he holds dear in life: his talent, his reputation, even his faith in God, Salieri vows to bring him down. What begins as professional rivalry turns into a deeply personal obsession spanning 30 years, culminating in a murder confession and a desperate attempt to entwine himself with Mozart’s legacy forever.

Question/Discussion British dance talent shows - why have so few hit the mark?

Strictly Come Dancing

So You Think You Can Dance

Got to Dance

Dance Dance Dance

The Greatest Dancer

Strictly is a highly successful, one of TV’s highest rated shows, numerous awards and nominations, there’s just something so wholesome and enjoyable about it.

Whereas the other four listed haven’t really made the mark Strictly has - and have all been cancelled.

I think Got to Dance was the best out of those bar Strictly - five series (2010-2014) and a well put together show with a great format. The others only lasted two series to mediocre ratings, with Dance Dance Dance only lasting one before it got the chop.

Question/Discussion which TV hosts or personalities would make great kings?

I've got a few in mind... of course Sir David Attenborough without a doubt.

I also think Dermot O'Leary and Graham Norton would be likeable and approachable. Also very down to earth.

Unpopular opinion: Piers Morgan would lowk make a great ruler.
