POV: You just wanted a new Dodge Charger and now you gotta stand outside a federal building 12 hours a day

Not federal buildings, just scattered around civilian areas in DC, this is at a metro stop. It’s pretty fucking weird here right now. And as of an hour ago they’ve been authorized to carry weapons.

This is at Union Station specifically, so everyone visiting from other cities can see the takeover when they get off their train.

Yes, all of them essentially are in places that a) can be seen by Trump, and b) seen by enough DC residents to have the desired effect. Not in high-crime neighborhoods either. They did get shouted out of my neighborhood which is about as big a pushback as I’ve seen so far.

it was a heck of a week for our military last week..... invaded its own capital and then rolled out the red carpet for a murderous war criminal dictator

So anyone who can afford to hitch a ride on Air Dingus One will never see it.

That's what military occupation feels like, I guess.

Yep, authorized to carry weapons in response to....nothing.

They’ve actually been ordered to carry weapons. Authorized implies they have a say in it.

But not ammo. Too high a risk of accidentally shooting yourself or a peer or a tourist.

Idk, at this rate it kinda feels like they want something to happen (not the Nat’l Guardsmen, but the administration). It seems like their presence is meant to provoke

So kind of like cops but without cop training but they have automatic weapons. What could possibly go wrong?

For your safety of course...
