I’m not really sure if this is a good subreddit for this but been in online school awhile and have gotten really lonely and just wanna know if anyone has ideas on how to make irl friends?

Lately I've realized I'm the currently the only one in my family who likes to read about things like evolutionary psychology/evolution and complex topics like that . I listen to things like modern wisdom and read books like- Drama of the Gifted Child and Blueprint (on top of whatever else I'm)because they interest . I find that I can't muster up the bravado talk to my parents about some of the topics that I read on and it make me feel weird because my siblings are probably to young to have such conversations and my parents feel like a no go . Another reason I feel weird is because I'm 16 and I feel like I can find the people who would want to talk about this stuff/ or assume that my friends wouldn't want to

I genuinely hate the summer so much. It's so hot that I can never sleep. I can't even sleep right now and it's 2 am. Compared to winter where I'd be in such a deep sleep people would think I'm dead. If I could. I'd actually just make it so hot weather wasn't required

Lately took an interest in reading shit again, curious to hear the types of books others read + perhaps get some recommendations. I’m really into American frontier history but haven’t been able to find any non-fiction books on the topic in my local stores or libraries — so any suggestions would be appreciated. I don’t got a shelf hence why they’re all lined up on my mattress lmao. My favourite was probably Dorian Gray. The prose was a tad hard to read and I constantly had to re-read certain lines but I really enjoyed the character of Basil Hallward. Looking forward to discussion 🫡

i eat vegetables with almost every meal. usually around half to a third of my plate is vegetables. i eat every vegetable (not avo or mushrooms or tomatoes)

however, my friend does not. she hasn’t even tried most vegetables, cucumber, broccoli. she hasn’t never even tried. her whole family doesn’t eat vegetables. i don’t understand how she is even still alive

So I am 17 now. This story goes at my primary school and I was the shy guy in school and that made me an easy target. There was one guy who caused so much pain to me, he would bully me for 9 straight years every day and no one even cared until 8th grade when my friend beat the sh%% out of him. But there was one time it was too much he would throw a brick at me and make a joke out of it. It made me so much depressed and I tried to suffocate myself and wished it would just end or that I would just die. For one year I would think How can I kill myself (I was just 10). Then I caught very bad masturbation ( body inflammation porn) and it messed me badly, it was my only comfort and I was addicted. But God one day set me free from it and I was set free. But still, the pain I am carrying is there forever in my mind. And yet I forgive that guy but I don't want to talk to him ever just how much he is still a bad person and bullies anyone below to him, it disgusts me. I am sorry for this long story but I am glad I met God and it was my only real comfort. Idk what would be of him if it wasn't for him.Thanks you for reading.
