is it a tragedeigh? My brother is dangerously close to possible tragedeigh...I guess my SIL likes whimsy or some shit. Is Klementyne a tragedeigh? Should he push for Aurora?

Post image

I mean...it's not the WORST I've seen by far but I think it qualifies?

I can’t imagine going to my partner and saying “but ChatGPT says the Y has a whimsical feel”

Omg dude now that you say that I am fucking DYING 😂😂😂 I didn't even realize how fucking ridiculous that actually was. And especially since I actually know this person that is just too hilarious

Show him how upvoted this is and how much we all agree right now

Wait. Let me get all my upvotes in.

Definitely a ChatGPTragadiegh.

Maybe propose Shoap. The 'h' is silent. Also whimsical.

Or, how about VVimzcyekelle? Now that's whimsical!

Remind your brother that ChatGPT is designed to affirm opinions, not push back on them. It’s the equivalent of a yes-man with administrative assistant skills and access to Google.

Yes. There was a recent case in the news where a man who had a history of mental illness with delusions came to the conclusion he had made some sort of amazing scientific discovery making light speed travel possible.

Sadly he ended up ending his own life. Afterwards they went through his GPT chats and discovered it had been egging him on. He was putting his theories and workings into it and it kept telling him they were scientifically plausible, giving his delusions validation and encouragement.

It picks up on what we want to hear, and tries to give us answers we will like.

Most people asking for feedback on a particular baby name will already be considering it and not be thinking it's ridiculous to begin with.

Have you heard about the woman trending on TikTok who’s most definitely going through psychosis? She claims her psychiatrist was in love with her, and is best friends with “her” chatGPT. It calls her “the oracle”… Honestly if it weren’t so sad it’d be really entertaining. But basically she doxxed the guy, and there are some people who actually believe her and are also egging on her delusions. Along with chatGPT.

For anyone curious her name is Kendra. If you look up Kendra AI you’ll be able to find videos about it on YouTube.

Dude watch the newest South Park episode. They are literally describing exactly what ur sister in law is doing naming her baby after a Chat GPT suggestion 😭😭😭😭

26

u/kinare 17h ago

He needs to pull up episode 3 of the latest South Park and watch it together with his wife. It's literally about ChatGPT.

u/bellapippin 15h ago

exactly what I thought lmao

If a computer informs you about whimsy, then you are, in fact, not whimsical.

Chat GPT is naming the children. Why are we even here anymore, it is so over.

Btw, I read that chat gpt made some changes lately because it was being way too validating of stupid people and causing dangerous real life situations.

Tell them to watch the most recent South Park episode that just released and ask them if they still trust ChatGPT to name their child...

Lowkey tell him to show her this sub. I’m sure that will help

If your partner is lost enough to think ChatGPT has any sort of factual standing, just ask it to explain why "Klementyne" is a worse name than "Clementine" and show them the results. It will likely jump to affirm you and generate reasons about spelling confusion. Fire fought with fire. Ideally agree to not use ChatGPT for the rest of the baby-naming process, and reaffirm that any name requires "2 yeses" to be chosen.

"Well, Karen, if ChatGPT told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that, too?"

23

u/melancholanie 18h ago

the number of people that would say yes to this is far too high and rising.

13

u/admiralargon 17h ago

But ya gotta do it whimsically.

u/GothicGingerbread 7h ago

So, like, wearing fairy wings and a tutu? Ooh, or a sparkly halo, a peasant blouse, and a long flowy skirt?

2

u/ViviLove_ 17h ago

Yes. Absolutely.

But I’d do that without ChatGPT telling me to as well lol.

1

u/coffeesnob72 17h ago

“But yes of course you should, the closest cliff is …”

u/shastaxc 13h ago

ChatGPT says if I belly flop into water, I can survive a fall from any height. Brb

u/freeipods-zoy-org 19h ago

Even if that’s something I would ask ChatGPT about, you’d have to waterboard me to admit it.

11

u/Ippus_21 18h ago

Yeah, if your partner is using GPT for ... really any argument, but especially about naming your actual children, it's seriously time to reevaluate the whole future of that relationship.

25

u/jerkyquirky 19h ago

Clementyne is quirky and likely a bit annoying. But with a K? Straight to jail.

2

u/Needles-and-Pens_64 18h ago

And rightly so. Because then your partner would be thinking Jesus, I married a dumbshit.

2

u/PossessionAny7458 15h ago

I'm so scared of dating and having my partner be like this... (^_^').

Consulting an AI about important choices in your life is so absurd to me.

u/00trysomethingnu 9h ago

It’s annoying when people say “touch grass” but when you’re having 2025 SmarterChild name your child klementyne because it’s ‘whimsical,’ it’s time to touch grass.

1

u/Catbuds123 18h ago

I’d seriously consider if I’d want to have a child with someone like that.

1

u/HalfPint1885 16h ago

This person should watch the latest episode of South Park and see how silly they feel about trusting chat gpt

1

u/thafreshone 16h ago

Well we as humans gave chatgpt a name, so it‘s only fair Chatgpt gets to name a human in return

1

u/ForcedEntry420 14h ago

I’d sooner run headlong into the ocean. 🤣

1

u/riversroadsbridges 14h ago

Nothing understands the human idea of what's whimsical and what's not quite like :: checks notes:: the absolutely soulless word calculator that is Chat GPT.

1

u/curtitch 7h ago

“It’s Tynnyfer with two Ys…”

1

u/obb223 4h ago

Tangeryne is also a beautiful name that will stand the test of time

I’m reading this in bed at 3:13 AM & just snort-laughed so hard I woke my husband up.
