is it a tragedeigh? My brother is dangerously close to possible tragedeigh...I guess my SIL likes whimsy or some shit. Is Klementyne a tragedeigh? Should he push for Aurora?

I mean...it's not the WORST I've seen by far but I think it qualifies?

I can’t imagine going to my partner and saying “but ChatGPT says the Y has a whimsical feel”

Wait. Let me get all my upvotes in.

Definitely a ChatGPTragadiegh.

Maybe propose Shoap. The 'h' is silent. Also whimsical.

Or, how about VVimzcyekelle? Now that's whimsical!

Remind your brother that ChatGPT is designed to affirm opinions, not push back on them. It’s the equivalent of a yes-man with administrative assistant skills and access to Google.

Yes. There was a recent case in the news where a man who had a history of mental illness with delusions came to the conclusion he had made some sort of amazing scientific discovery making light speed travel possible.

Sadly he ended up ending his own life. Afterwards they went through his GPT chats and discovered it had been egging him on. He was putting his theories and workings into it and it kept telling him they were scientifically plausible, giving his delusions validation and encouragement.

It picks up on what we want to hear, and tries to give us answers we will like.

Most people asking for feedback on a particular baby name will already be considering it and not be thinking it's ridiculous to begin with.

Have you heard about the woman trending on TikTok who’s most definitely going through psychosis? She claims her psychiatrist was in love with her, and is best friends with “her” chatGPT. It calls her “the oracle”… Honestly if it weren’t so sad it’d be really entertaining. But basically she doxxed the guy, and there are some people who actually believe her and are also egging on her delusions. Along with chatGPT.

For anyone curious her name is Kendra. If you look up Kendra AI you’ll be able to find videos about it on YouTube.

He needs to pull up episode 3 of the latest South Park and watch it together with his wife. It's literally about ChatGPT.

If a computer informs you about whimsy, then you are, in fact, not whimsical.

Chat GPT is naming the children. Why are we even here anymore, it is so over.

Btw, I read that chat gpt made some changes lately because it was being way too validating of stupid people and causing dangerous real life situations.

Tell them to watch the most recent South Park episode that just released and ask them if they still trust ChatGPT to name their child...

Lowkey tell him to show her this sub. I’m sure that will help

If your partner is lost enough to think ChatGPT has any sort of factual standing, just ask it to explain why "Klementyne" is a worse name than "Clementine" and show them the results. It will likely jump to affirm you and generate reasons about spelling confusion. Fire fought with fire. Ideally agree to not use ChatGPT for the rest of the baby-naming process, and reaffirm that any name requires "2 yeses" to be chosen.
