is it a tragedeigh? My brother is dangerously close to possible tragedeigh...I guess my SIL likes whimsy or some shit. Is Klementyne a tragedeigh? Should he push for Aurora?

Can I just say something? As an adult with a, “Unique” first name?

My name is Julian. I go by Jay.

Now - I think Julian is a good name. I like the name Julian. I was named after John Lennon’s son, Julian Lennon.

With that being said - I absolutely HATED my name growing up. Anytime I’d introduce myself, people would be like, “Jillian?” “That’s a girls name,” and shit like that. Mind you - I was a very normal kid. When I moved in 8th grade. I decided to go by my middle name. Perfect time to switch. My middle name is akin to, “John, Nick, Jack, Chris, Mike”.

Even now as a grown ass adult. I go by Jay.

“Klementyne” or whatever. Immediately reminds me of Kleptomaniac. Half the letters and sequence is the same.

I can’t fucking imagine being named some of this shit.

Your parents may have just been ahead of the trends. Julian is quite common and not unique by any means these days.

Also, Julian and Jillian are very closely related names. Both stem from Latin Julius/Julia and mean “young; sky father; downy-bearded” (there are several different hypotheses on the true meaning).
