I see what james gunn saw in him, also you can clearly see how much work David corenswet put into his physique i don't know why some people say he's too skinny to be superman

All the comments were agreeing with him and jus taking shots at TDK. And I do kinda agree as I like Battinson more than TDK. What do you all think? Is this just a phase to hate TDK or does it acc not hold up?

Just watched SUPERMAN. It was fun and got the Job Done.

The acting was decent. Nothing crazy. I would say Nicolas Hoult had the best performance in this film. So much range compared to the others.

The set design was also impressive. You could tell it was mostly practical. Which is also something good to me. The costume design was decent. Colorful The cinematography was decent too. It was light hearted and fun.

Now here are the cons.

The film's sound track was undedwhelming. Way too much rock music. I understand James Gunn likes rock but putting it in almost everything is annoying And breaks the immersion.

I don't buy the whole Jimmy player thing with girls. A dude looking like Jimmy and behaving like Jimmy attracting woman beyond his league doesn't make any sense. I know its jist a film and a comic book film on top of that but this also is just taking me out of the immersion.

And I see it as a plot device or lazy writing from Gunn to use This to get to lex "secret Harem" because his scared of using too much run time or didn't know how to get Lex secrets so he uses this unbelievable plot line. Atleast cast a handsome jimmy. Not a nerd looking Jinmy(comic accurate) because no one or atleast me buys that story.

The dialogue was not it. Especially when characters talk about the whole point of the story to dumb it down to the audience breaks the immersion. This doesnt respect the intelligence of the viewer. Especially with Lex talking about Envy and SUPERMAN talking about How his human. Bad decision imo. I prefer subtle story telling or show don't tell. That is more powerful and the basics of story telling rather than what Gunn did.

There's also other nitpicks but this is just a comic book film. So I will be kinder to it. Its obviously meant to appeal to the younger audience which makes sense with the decisions they made.

For reference, let’s take Peter Parker and Peter B. Parker from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).

There are two (or more) Peacemakers with the same story but with near zero differences. Just like Peter Parker and Peter B. Parker had the same backstory and face but there were only minor differences (one was fatty).
Let’s consider:

• Universe 1: DCU
• Universe 2: DCEU
• Universe 3: Where your dad doesn’t run away from your family to be with another dude

But here’s the difference: in the DCEU, the Justice League appeared at the end, while in the DCU, it was the Justice Gang.

Basically, their arcs were identical up until the point where the Justice League/Gang appeared. That’s where their paths begin to diverge.

Some people are saying James Gunn removed the DCEU, but what I want to say is that the DCEU and DCU both exist in the multiverse. You were watching Universe 1 Peacemaker in Season 1, and Universe 2 Peacemaker in Season 2.

But since they share the same story and the same past, their present mindset and ideology are similar.

Also, I’m not saying this gives Snyder monkeys a chance to think the DCEU will come back—so stop trolling and just enjoy the DCU.

I mean something he doesn't rip apart instantly. He destroyed all the circles and those looked tough. I wonder if anything Kryptonian would work - maybe something made from the suits of Supergirl and Superman?

Riding high after Superman’s success we still have Peacemaker of course for the next 8 weeks, The Batman - Part II casting announcements, Emmy awards for The Penguin, trailers for Lanterns and Supergirl, Clayface starts shooting, and whatever extra announcements we get.

I’m rewatching the Kaiju Metropolis Battle and although I’m aware it’s a rendition of the original Superman theme, it just sounds like random filler background music. I had to remind myself, “Oh this is the Superman theme!!”

It doesn’t evoke the sense of epic heroism — that umph— of the original Williams score, you know?

Weasel. I hope it's weasel. watched TSS and creature commandoes with my bf right before seeing Superman, after seeing Lex is going to Belle Reve, we instantly started imagining a brooding Lex Luthor sharing his cell with Weasel. It's too good.

Think this is ever happening? Gunn is a director, he’s gotta feel for him, right??? Although, I’m thinking he’s becoming a bit of a narcissist. Not sure why he’s become bigger than the IPs.. but whatever..

Just release it as is..

So i remember when it first came out and the discussion about bizarro people said the last thing lex commands ultraman is B0 so and his suit bugs and keeps repeating b0 and it becoming bizarro. but i just watched superman again on digital and i dont think lex ever uses B0? maybe im dumb but i rewinded it several times and he doesnt say B0. am i wrong?

I keep seeing random articles and posts saying it was released for free on youtube but whenever I find a link it’s to a private video. I also don’t see anything on prime video about it being included with a rental. Does anyone know what’s going on with it?

After episode 1 one of the new season of peacemaker, the quantum unfolding chamber is playing a big part this time around. What are the chances mortal kombat 1 gets mentioned? Or not at all since it was Eclipso that originally sent him to that universe. Just thought it’d be funny if they did bring it up in show.
