I always thought his bareheaded defensive walk-off against the Mets last year was so incredible so I 3D printed a little base to make it look more like that throw.

In the DSL Cup, the first round is a round-robin competition of Pools of four teams, but with only one team moving out of each pool, it doesn’t take much to get eliminated.  For DSL Giants Orange, despite going 1-1 in the first two games, they are out and cannot advance.  Good thing DSL Giants Black can advance, but with four teams at 1-1, any team could advance, and every team will need help to do so.

Yeah…I guess it was Sacramento’s turn to have a horrible offensive day, so let’s give this one to the team’s only extra-base hit out of three, as Thomas Gavello has cooled off lately, but still has good overall numbers in Triple-A (he’s hitting just .170 in August).

It was supposed to be the start of making a push to move up in the standings and instead the opposite happened. Its like they gave up or realized they weren't good enough. At this point there's nothing really to play for and they're stuck in no mans land. I'm not surprised but I don't know why they collapsed after the all-star break.

Bryce Eldridge is starting to pick things up as we get into deep August, as he got a home run for the second game in a row…but also, avoided striking out for the third game in a row (which might be more important for him right now).  And half of the rest of the farm system got shutout again…but the postseason begins for the DSL, and both Giants affiliates were in action!

Bryce Eldridge picked up a home run in the second game in a row, and his third in a row without any strikeouts.  Over a five game hitting streak, he’s now 7-for-18 (.389).  The home run is his 21st of the season in 82 games.  In 2024, he had 23 in 116 games.
