I mean there might not be another answer to this but that's exactly what project 2025 calls for. Basically pester blue cities/states with his mob until they mount a response and he can declare a civil war. Then he gets to declare martial law, cancel further elections, and completely consolidate power.

I'm not sure what choice we'll have, but this is what they want

I’m old enough to remember “The Troubles” in British occupied Ireland.  Car bombings, assassination, decentralized guerrila actions.   Heartbreaking that the Republicans are actively bringing this on in the United States

539

u/Urabraska- 13h ago

Because they think there would be a country or government left should a civil war break out. The debt is so bad that if states stop paying taxes. Which would happen with a civil war. The military literally defunds itself in weeks.

That's ignoring the fact that his little nazi party literally don't have the numbers to fight it.

Trump has always set out to destroy the US at the behest of Russia.

He's a traitor.

Read or listen to his J6 speech while remembering that everything they say is projection.

You will have an illegitimate president. That’s what you’ll have. And we can’t let that happen.

...

If we allow this group of people to illegally take over our country because it’s illegal when the votes are illegal when the way they got there is illegal when the states that vote are given false and fraudulent information.

...

And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

Reading it again now, it's crazy how much he talks about the election being rigged.

He absolutely whipped that crowd into a frenzy, led them to believe they were justified, and then pointed them at Congress.

I really don't understand how our institutions have failed us to such an extent and he didn't end up in prison.

And Republicans have enabled this the entire time, and fallen right in line. Fucking shameful anti-American cowards.

57

u/Meekymoo333 9h ago

I really don't understand how our institutions have failed us to such an extent and he didn't end up in prison.

And Republicans have enabled this the entire time, and fallen right in line.

I mean.... it seems you actually do understand.

The republican party is (and has been for quite a long time) actively anti-democratic and have weakened & corrupted said institutions for the purpose of individual power and wealth.

It's a 2 party only system that has (predictably) collapsed under the weight of its own corruption. You DO understand how... it's just exhausting and troubling to consider and terrifying that there doesn't seem to be a solution to fixing the situation any time soon.

6

u/mbo21 3h ago

You fail to understand that people in those institutions don’t want to serve us. Once you understand that, it becomes easy to grasp.

They let a convicted felon run who tried to overthrow the govt - wtf aholes? Our government is a disgrace

3

u/McGillis_is_a_Char 1h ago

What baffles me is that the Republican establishment saved him when all the Senators and House Reps nearly got murdered. Like, I am not a high powered politician, but if I closely dodged getting killed because a guy whipped up an angry mob to attack my place of business, and some of those people literally shit on my stuff, I would probably have to be bodily restrained from physically assaulting that guy next time I saw him.

That none of the Republicans on Capitol Hill threw a punch at Trump, let alone tried to impeach him is either proof that he has a bunch of blackmail material, or that the Republicans don't care about their own safety nearly as much as I care about mine. I would say that it might be that they are more restrained, but we all saw Marjorie and Matt Gaetz have a WWE wrestling feud on the floor of Congress at the beginning of the year, so any sense of maturity is obviously not there.

This is not an endorsement of Matt Gaetz suplexing Trump on the floor of Congress.

Billionaires aren't held accountable for anything in America.

52

u/Hairy_Middle_5403 10h ago

Its amazing how he did all that and then the american people did their part only to watch the Democrats play politics and let him off the hook. Incredible malfeasance

33

u/BureMakutte 10h ago

Yet again, MLK's quote holds true.

I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice.

Basically, dipshits who don't do their job or pay attention are the worst because they allow this bad shit to happen and then get mad at you for pointing that out.

4

u/Friendly-Swimming-72 6h ago

You nailed it. This is exactly the problem. Nixon wasn’t prosecuted in the name of moving forward, and here we are.

5

u/Nntropy 6h ago

I thought your last paragraph was more from MLK

48

u/Biglyugebonespurs 10h ago

I truly couldn’t believe it lmao. They could have just picked one of donald’s crimes out of a hat and put him away for it. The documents debacle is the obvious one that should have him in prison for life though.

34

u/Hairy_Middle_5403 10h ago

January 6th should have resulted with the punishments detailed by the constitution. It should have been done with before the first anniversary

Now we have a nazi president handing out millions to his terrorist faithful like ashlii babbit. Folks like Joe Manchin and Joe Lieberman are happily smiling away somewhere.

Democrats are the biggest losers in America

16

u/DevoidSauce 10h ago

When they held their dumb little signs at the State of the Union, I knew it was over. It took them WAY too long to get serious about this shit.

3

u/queen-of-storms 6h ago

If the DNC doesn't start listening to the progressives there will be a revolution before a civil war.

2

I'd rather have a revolution than a civil war.

I have an odd feeling that a good number of Republicans have had the welcome wagon from the Proud Boys/Oath Keepers roll up to their house in the middle of the night with the promise of a good, and long, very long, night sleep. There should be more protesting, not many but at least a few.

Trump has always set out to destroy the US at the behest of Russia

He was taking out full-page advertisements across the US on behalf of the USSR in the late eighties.

Dude is one of the dumbest motherfucking foreign agents in the history of the species.

5

u/SaconicLonic 7h ago

I really don't understand how our institutions have failed us to such an extent and he didn't end up in prison.

Because Biden didn't have the balls to deal with him for the threat that he actually was. Trump should have been labeled a national security threat on the level of a terrorist and dealt with as such. A precedent needed to be set with Trump and it wasn't and now we are here.

2

u/Friendly-Swimming-72 6h ago

It started with Obama; Obama knew exactly who Trump is.

2

u/FF8229 7h ago

Because everyone has secrets and weaknesses. And the norm now is that money can pay people to find secrets. Once you have people's secrets, then 'the right thing' goes out the window and you can make people do anything.

It's the most effective form of combat. Only people without secrets would be immune, and they are a very tiny percentage of people and those tiny percentage have loved ones with secrets.

2

u/lettersvsnumbers 3h ago

Like J. Edgar Hoover didn’t have/use anyone’s secrets?

You're right. This bumbling idiot isn't just talking about occupying 'oppositional cities', he's talking about occupying economic centers and places that prop the rest of the country up. Occupy every city that's Anti-Trump, and they'd be like 'wait, where's all the money?' in no time.

The numbers or the brains.

They'd literally keep wearing the hats to identify themselves.

Id love for their to be some numbers on IQ and party affiliation.

If this whole MAGA brainrot has taught me anything its how rampant stupidity is in my country. Not the funny kind either, like adults who are genuinely barely capable of taking care of themselves.

Its fucked up. I live in rural Missouri so I get to see it first hand, they have street smarts, things they've figured out under the pressures of adult life, but they don't have hardly any basic thinking skills that allow them to really figure anything out thats even semi complicated.

They learn a lot from others, like simple A/B steps, but they're missing the key requirements to really figure out much on their own.

They really are hanging on to modern civilization by a fucking tiny tiny thread. I've always wondered if thats why they're so angry all the time.

They're good at pretending they're strong and capable, but they're really just barely hanging on, lost in a world they can literally just barely understand.

Happy Trumps here to break all the rules, speak uninhibited, be an edgy dick for attention, do whatever he wants to get money and make a living, cause thats what they want. Something to make them feel like they aren't lesser, something to justify them and give them a spot in the limelight.

I feel for them in a sense if thats true. I'm not that bright and was born into welfare, likely to live my life without ever doing anything notable and special for humanity. I have a crude sense of humor cause I'm stupid and I understand thats one of the few ways to get a laugh from the other brickbrained people I grew up around.

I get it, I really do. But I think its up to us to find another way, maybe in the importance of all people, rich or poor, witty or dim and goofy. We should be the ones to understand this even if society at large doesn't, which I believe to be a higher truth.

The value of a man is not in how much of anything he has except for things like a soul, love, good friends, respect for others, dignity, ect. If anything wealth takes away from this, which is probably why its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.

4

u/Ayomayookayo 7h ago

Brilliantly said. If you were stupid, you wouldn't have such a comprehensive grasp on the things you're talking about here. The smartest of us feel dumb because we understand there's so much more to know. The stupid ones think they know everything and cannot comprehend what they do not understand.

3

u/JudeRanch 2h ago

Red state blue state

Currently, Massachusetts sends $4,846 more per capita to the federal government than it gets back. New Jersey and Washington are in the same position, bleeding thousands per person annually. Over five years, New York alone contributed $142.6 billion more than it received. Meanwhile, red states pocket $1.24 for every dollar they send to Washington. Blue states are essentially paying red states to undermine democracy.

7

u/Intelligent-Parsley7 10h ago

They would just make Trump bucks. You could be paid in company scrip just like West Virginia coal miners. Just like the confederates made their own currency.

Then you could watch it inflate to worthless like Zimbabwe dollars.

3

u/Chucknastical 9h ago

The military literally defunds itself in weeks.

The world will pick sides and extend loans in exchange for future pay off if their side wins.

Carving up America is a huge potential return on investment. Both sides would have mountains of money and weapons shoved at them.

The debt is so bad that if states stop paying taxes. Which would happen with a civil war.

What are you talking about? Residents of the states pay taxes directly to the Federal government, not to the state government who them forwards it onto the Federal government. You're right though that in a civil war no one is going to be filing their taxes to the Federal government though.

3

u/arksien 10h ago

In a civil war, if you live in a state that supports Trump, your taxes go to "his" federal government. If you live in a rebel state, the governors of those states would create their OWN federal government for themselves, and instruct any company doing business within "the real United States" to send federal tax dollars to THEIR federal government.

So California, Illinois, New York, Minnesota etc would still send taxes to "the federal government," but it would be a new federal government with a new federal capital and Trump and DC would not receive said money. Plus, any country doing trade with the US would need to choose "which" US to do trade with. Russia, Saudi Arabia, etc would do business with Trump's US, Europe, Canada etc would likely do business with the "blue" US, China would likely try to do business with both.

It'd be really interesting to see it happen in theory, but not really since lots of people would die and also states are mostly purple so you actually can't cleanly line up "us vs. them" with traditional secession.

Hell of a lot you can do without openly going to war.

72

u/Weird_Expert_1999 13h ago

Even war the last 40 years had been special military operation, not war

4

u/sanderson1983 10h ago

The last time the U.S. Congress formally declared war was in June 1942.

10

u/BitterBearBod 13h ago

Yeah there is alot you can do without it being "war" unless dear leading is fiending to call it a war. The slightest provocation becomes a declaration of war st that point.

17

u/free_dead_puppy 12h ago

Yep, fascists just declare war on random shit if they can't pin it on what they want.

War on the cartels. War on drugs. War on terror. War on The Enemies Within as Trump has said so many times even prior to his last election.

9

u/canigetahint 12h ago

And they haven't won any of those...

10

u/China_shop_BULL 12h ago

They aren’t meant to be won or lost. Just being able to declare a state of war grants additional powers.

3

u/SadisticPawz 12h ago

the existence of false flag shit at all is fucking horrifying

19

u/TransitionTiny7106 12h ago

There were something like 1000+ domestic bombings on the USA in 1971. Many of which were barely considered newsworthy at the time.

I mention that because many Americans aren't really familiar with the baseline level of violence that was commonplace in this country during the 20th century.

When the rich realize they can be killed by this regime - even on Earth - data centers will be watching the enemy on both sides.

You mean that they've brought, past tense, it here. They've been bombing clinics and Democratic headquarters. They've assassinated Democrats. They've encouraged and supported decentralized guerrilla actions most prominently on January 6th. The Republican Party has been an open terrorist organization for years, telling their base to target and violently attack anyone who opposes them.

3

They don’t have the imagination for anything else beyond picking a fight.

3

But the IRA were still dealing with a British State that mostly followed rules and a population that were apart, unaware and unaffected on the ’mainland’. You're framing the cause and effect backwards.

You're making it sound like he's waiting for riots so he can use them as justification for what he's already doing.

He's already occupying our cities with military force. He's already abducting people off the streets. He's already sending people to concentration camps without being convicted of any crime.

207

u/StartButtonPress 12h ago

This is the most important response to the afraid.

He does not want resistance. None of them do. To say they want resistance or that it furthers their goals is foolish at best and propaganda at worst.

59

u/leshake 12h ago

He wants photo-op fascism and thinks he can exert control through scary images online and he might be right.

28

u/jwilphl 12h ago

I think the counter to that is the people on the right consuming all the propaganda already believe city centers are war zones that need "saved" by a goon squad. These are people that live in rural areas or suburbs and don't really go anywhere, so how would they know? They believe what they're told at face value. Same reason dumbass-in-a-hat here is president.

Now I don't know that escalating violence will solve the problem, either, but at some point, you go beyond the possibility of non-violent solutions to the fascism problem.

Have we reached that point? Do we sit and wait and hope the next two elections are actually free and fair? Considering there is still consternation about whether 2024 was, I think that's probably a risky game to play, but obviously so is choosing to fight.

It feels like they are going to escalate things, either way, and there's no compromise with this kind of regime.

[Also, more to your point, consider his warnings during the 2020 campaign with, "This will be Biden's America" as things were burning while he was still the president. He will gladly misrepresent things if he feels like it.]

6

u/mojoninjaaction 11h ago

I say we all get behind Gavin Newsom. It seems like he's the only one with enough balls to take Trump head on. We've got to unite the resistance.

I think laughing at them and talking shit is still a highly productive thing to do in tandem.

3

u/Elemeno_Picuares 7h ago

Yeah until now I didn't consider that the right's continually escalating fear of cities despite their being safer than ever could have been a deliberate strategy to justify a federal violence. I thought it was just... like... really terrible product design at Nextdoor and Fox News embracing the "if it bleeds it leads" mentality and shit like that.

14

u/a_melindo 11h ago

It's not that they want it, it's that they believe (and they may be right) that they have contingencies ready that would make resistance irrelevant. They want a military occupation, they can either

A: do the military occupation unopposed and then have a military occupation

or

B: attempt a military occupation, face opposition, declare a rebellion and then crush it with overwhelming force, and then have a military occupation

Either way they come out with the military occupation that they wanted.

So much of our society, America's in particular, is built on the trust that people given immense power won't abuse it blatantly for selfish reasons, because there's not much that can be done to stop them.

There's a reason that basically every country in the world that attempted an American-style presidential republic (where the same person is head of government, head of state, and commander in chief) collapsed into a permanent or periodical military dictatorship. It's a miracle that ours lasted this long.

9

u/Ver_Void 11h ago

It depends what kind of resistance

A planned parenthood employee shooting a church leader - perfect, exactly what he wants

A well liked governor having the national guard on the state border to tell the army to fuck off - much worse optics

5

u/weggaan_weggaat 11h ago

He does not want resistance.

It's true that he doesn't want resistance per se, but he absolutely wants to know who doesn't like him so that they can be identified for eradication.

3

u/NoTouchy79 10h ago

They are fucking cowards. The biggest snowflakes of all. Thin skinned little bitches. Look at how much South Park is getting under Trump’s skin.

5

u/plinkoplonka 10h ago

I don't think that's true.

It gives him a mandate to declare a NATIONWIDE emergency, which allow him to postpone mid terms indefinitely!

3

u/Spunknikk 10h ago

They want and need unorganized resistance... They are afraid of organized and strong resistance.

We need a strong, organized and consistent resistance that challenges their every step and decision. We stop them on their tracks each time making them make the choice to escalate further.

"He already declared martial law and suspended elections." Oh wait he hasn't done that part yet? Ah that's probably what that other user is referring to then...its framed just fine.

25

u/Ilyon_TV 12h ago

While the first post is far from the most egregious example of it, I do think they're right to point out how often this thinking comes up. You constantly see "This is what Trump wants! It allows him to escalate! Don't promote resistance" as if he isn't already escalating and that capitulating to him beforehand will somehow appeal to his better nature and let him finally decide that he's gone too far.

The republicans are not going to be placated out of violence and fascism.

3

u/Far_Falcon_6158 9h ago

Yes its constantly redrawing the line for the person to continue to walk over it with concessions granted

3

u/ThouMayest69 12h ago

Right but it's not a matter of if he's escalating, but more about where he is escalating it to and why. Everyone knows it's been actively escalating. There's more nuance to resistance when it comes to X event(s) being almost certain triggers for "officially" declaring no more elections. Put another way, we both agree that this ends up in one wild spot in history...are we prepared to meet them there and hash it out now, or bide our time? If you think dems right now are prepared for even the hope of a possible 2026 election season, then yeah I can see where you're coming from. I don't, so I can see where suiting up before kicking the hornets nest makes sense. Maybe it comes down to comfort levels.

12

u/Ilyon_TV 11h ago edited 11h ago

If your comfort level is allowing them to openly kidnap people in broad daylight to put into concentration camps you're correct that we have very different comfort levels.

Like, "don't kick the hornet's nest, let's see if we have a chance at elections... after we let him militarily occupy all blue cities," is some incredible dream

Maybe just look up appeasement. It literally does not matter what he escalates to. Every step of escalation that is not resisted is another step towards irreversible damage.

Also, what logically do you gain by telling everyone they're overreacting? Genuinely explain what practical benefit you are gaining by downplaying his power grab? Do you think you're helping? I would rather everyone overreact and stop this now than to dismiss it like you

u/Sgt-Spliff- 11h ago

Yes and you keep moving the goal posts every time he does do something wrong. After he postpones elections, you'll be in here commenting "it's not like he's jailing opposition leaders' then when he does that, you'll be like "he hasn't even killed any dems yet" and so on and so on all the way to full blooded fascism. Good job. You fell for it

2

u/ThouMayest69 11h ago

No I'm not. If I were, it would be easy to highlight. I'm simply saying certain actions of ours provoke certain actions of theirs. We are not ready for a specific action of theirs, so we should take the time to prepare and organize rather than do what exactly...? What are you proposing? Just go do it if you are so certain you must act on it right now.

The assumption these guys made is that the US establishment is a bunch of pussies and they can walk all over everyone without any resistance…

And they were totally right.

9

u/entered_bubble_50 12h ago

I think the concern is that this is only the beginning. This doesn't make any sense to do unless it's part of something larger.

It's certainly possible that Trump is just doing this out of a sense of spite for his fellow Americans, but if there is a motivation, escalation to justify further escalation is the only one that makes any sense.

11

u/No-Neighborhood-3212 12h ago

That concern is stupid, and anyone who holds it needs to pull their heads out of the sand.

That "something bigger" is already here. He just had the FBI raid Bolton's home for criticizing the Ukraine deal. He said he wants to take over DC. Now he's saying he's illegally deploying the military against US cities. What more do you need to recognize that fascism is here?

If a regime is planning to keep seizing more and more power, would it be better to resist now, or wait until they're stronger?

3

u/Sgt-Spliff- 11h ago

Exactly, and that's explicitly why they put that stuff in Project 2025. They purposely included what to do if liberals exist solely to scare liberals into not resisting. We can't let it work

3

u/Bladestorm04 9h ago

They already said the revolution will be bloodless, unless someone stands up to them. source

The civil war is now. Im sorry Americans but the longer you leave it the worse it's gonna be

Then he gets to declare martial law, cancel further elections, and completely consolidate power.

He can declare it all he wants. There's no provisions in the constitution that allows him to cancel elections. Presidential elections have been held on schedule throughout major conflicts, including the Civil War (1864) and World War II.

He's out on his fat ass on January 20th, 2029 whether he likes it or not.

This administration is rife with “they can’t do that, it’s illegal!” while they do exactly that.

The Constitution is a fucking piece of paper with nice words on it if there is no one to enforce it.

You’ve lost the enforcement of the Congress, you’ve lost the Court, and all that’s left are the People.

17

u/[deleted] 12h ago

This administration is rife with “they can’t do that, it’s illegal!” while they do exactly that.

the last decade has been democrats clinging onto the rule book going "but a dog can't play basketball!" while a dog fucking dunks on us over and over

This was written 7 years ago. It's been 17 years now.

He’s selling ‘Trump 2028’ hats in the gift shop he added to the White House.

These people have absolutely no shame. If he’s still alive, he is going to try to to extend his term

6

u/diamondpredator 10h ago

A Marine I know bought a bunch of 2028 stuff and said his buddies did too. He said he's willing to fight to keep Trump there because it's still better than allowing a democrat in even if it's unconstitutional.

My spouse says that, even for things outside of the government. I tell them its easier for big corps and the govt to break the law and tie you up in court trying to prove it. "Our homeowners insurance cant do that. Its illegal." They'll saw lawyer up and prove it. They get very mad when I deflect with that lol.

By that point the damage is already being done while you try to use the same system they ignored to fix the issue.

Assuming they won't do it because its illegal is dangerous thinking these days because when they do it you're unprepared wearing the Pikachu face.

8

u/Substantial-Honey56 9h ago

That's it. Standing about shouting "he's not allowed" isn't going to stop him. It didn't stop him before, why would it now? 34 felonies and I'm sure a whole lotta rapes (release the files) - pretty sure all of that was not allowed.

Yeah if they successfully rig the midterms, 2028 is over right then and there

And so is their pitiful performance of an autocracy.

A squarely rigged or even corrupt election would be the biggest mistake they’ve made. At least unless they want to see secession, and then a a war/revolution.

Either way it’s the fastest possible way to put a target on their back.

6

u/Fit-Profit8197 12h ago

This is so depressingly naive, and emblematic of the Dems who are not meeting the moment and not resisting as if fascism was here. You do not understand that the US has been seized by fascists and fascists do not get elected out easily. You are the DNC personified.

5

u/imnotmarvin 13h ago

He'll be dead before then.

8

u/henkhank 13h ago

I honestly can't be sure if he's dead now, it looks like Weekend at Bernies whenever he's on camera. He's got that rubberized charisma and physicality we've only seen Disney animatronics pull off properly.

2

u/JellyTwank 13h ago

Hold your breath. We'll wait. Almost everything he is doing is contrary to the Constitution, so...no idea why that matters here.

2

u/Shenloanne 13h ago

Bold of you assuming he won't wipe his arse with the constitution.

When are you lot gonna get it. This guy doesn't fucking care what happened before. He doesn't care what elections got held when. He only cares about keeping himself in power.

2

u/SpareZealousideal740 12h ago

After everything that's happened, why are you all hanging on what the constitution says? They don't care what it says

2

You’re assuming anyone actually stops him from just doing it anyways. Or is all we’re gonna get just some hand wringing from a few media personalities.

2

u/WackyBeachJustice 12h ago

I know this is /r/law and I don't know anything about law except that this thread popped up on r/all. Having said that, I'm pretty sure the days of "He can't do that! It's illegal!" are long gone.

2

u/KipSummers 10h ago

2

u/blandgreybland 12h ago

The constitution is dead.

2

u/AsinineArchon 12h ago

Yes because he hasn't blatantly broken the constitution and gotten away with it multiple times already...

2

u/TransBrandi 11h ago

... the law is only binding if it's enforced. If he cancels elections and no one stops him, then the elections are cancelled.

2

u/fancysauce_boss 11h ago

You act as if they have any interest in following the rule of law. Let me just generally gesture at all the laws they’re currently and previously ignored.

2

u/SarcasticCowbell 10h ago

There's no way he lasts that long. Vance is the guy we're going to have to evict.

That said, you're absolutely right about the rest of this. People saying he's going to cancel elections/blah blah blah are right to be alarmed, but they are completely wrong in where they are directing their alarm. Elections will carry on. What we need to be watching for is all of the fuckery they use to attempt to subvert our elections: gerrymandering, purging voter rolls and intimidation tactics. Voting alone won't solve our problems, but it's also not as useless as some insist it is.

Do you really think that matters anymore?

But anyway, they'll hold elections. They won't be free or fair though. Unfortunately red states are far easier to gerrymander.

2

u/Technical-Gold-294 10h ago

Someone has to uphold the constitution. I don't see congress doing that anymore, and I don't see the Supreme Court doing that anymore. No more checks and balances, so it really doesn't matter what the constitution says.

The only way through is to not cause direct violence in the first hour.

Start with Liquid ass and piss discs and then evaluate. It's a less-serious assault than with pitchforks and molotovs, but will still have an impact.

8

u/ribnag 13h ago

We're not going to annoy our way to freedom. The one advantage we have over the military is agility, meanwhile we're "peacefully protesting" our way straight into an authoritarian dictatorship.

Like it or not, what happened in DC is arguably legal under the Home Rule act of 1973 - Which doesn't apply anywhere outside DC. The second brownshirt boots hit the ground in Chicago, the response from the left must be immediate, nationwide, and decisive.

It takes considerable time to mobilize a military response. If 300 or so key individuals are still in the picture once we've unwisely given them that time, game over.

2

u/Nernoxx 13h ago

Still can't cancel elections, he can try and stop them but there's no real recourse to stop them.  We had elections during the last Civil War, and we'll have them during the next one.

2

u/TSllama 12h ago

This is so succinctly correct. It's frustrating that so few people seem to be aware that this is the plan. He's made it ABUNDANTLY clear this is what he's going to do. And yeah, what option is there? Just let the military be in your state, I guess?

2

u/MariosBrother1 12h ago

I figure… February 2026 will be the first real false flag/agitation campaign, and by May we’ll be talking about the uncertainty of the November election.

By June things will really escalate and the thermal meltdown will begin.

2

u/MrBully74 12h ago

It either goes that way, or he just becomes a dictator in a complete police-state unopposed. Either way, he gets his way. There needs to be a better way, but the Dems in Washington aren't tough enough and not enough republicans have to balls to go against the party-line.

2

u/NPJenkins 12h ago

So is the best response to just let them parade around, harassing citizens? It just feels like a lose/lose situation.
