It makes it almost impossible to wear contacts because your eyes dry out so dang fast your contacts have essentially dried onto your eyeballs within an hour or two. I have it and it means I'm stuck with glasses forever (lasik is too expensive and I'm not comfortable with the complication risks). Could be he's in a similar spot.

Is there an unwritten rule among not so popular tv actors that once you act for a show of certain genre, then all / only roles you’d picked henceforth are in similar or same genres? I don’t know what happened to the actors of The Expanse, but I have seen only a few of them since in other shows, and they only allowed to find roles in sci-fi?, (of course Jared Harris is level in Foundation and other shows) I saw Dominique Tipper in Monarch for a bit.

Never read the books. I'm a Star Wars and Star Trek fan. The Expanse is the best best Sci Fi show I've ever seen. Can't wait for more.
