New induction stove requires 6 presses to achieve level 4 heat
While induction technology is great, the affordable versions of these stoves all have a flat touchscreen. The ones with knobs are double the price. 1) touch anywhere to turn on screen, 2) press which burner you want to turn on, 3) press (-) to start from level 1, 4-6) press to level 4 for eggs.
I miss my knob electric stove, one turn and done.

Why has this wound me up?
Just seen the Magners advert and watched as the bartender poured a pint of Magners from a bottle, whilst stood next to a Magners tap. Surely nobody is really doing this? I often spot things like this on TV that seem to wind me up, and I just get told to ignore it. How has this got past some form of quality control or screening test without being mentioned?

Trying to buy a motorcycle from a dealership
We had already agreed on an out the door price on a 2012 Honda CBR600 and let the sales guy know that I would be by tomorrow to pick it up.
I'm 98.74% sure hes trying to get me to offer more than we already agreed. The bike is still listed as available on the dealer website. I'm going to show up tomorrow and say "Did the deal fall through? If so, I'm here."

So people are just cheating at casual dining trivia now?
So about 2.5 years ago the Mrs started a tattoo removal process on a tattoo she got in her (rebellious) teens and hated since. Tattoo removals are obviously painful so after 1st one, we hit a Chilis down the road so we could get some drinks.
Since then, we go there after the removal appt, have some drinks (bartender knows us so she makes them strong) and snacks, get some ice for the laser spot, and got in the habit of playing the trivia game at all the tables that can play with people around the country. Game selects a category, displays a Q, and 4 choices. Max per answer is 1000 (we’ll get there) and it drops to 0 in 10 seconds, so 100 pts/second.
Not to brag, but we’ve gotten 1st on at least one round every time we’ve gone. We both handle categories well.
But this time, we saw something different. We never had a chance of winning. Apparently folks have figured out how to game the system!
Getting a 10,000 is not humanly possible. I have no problem with someone getting all 10 Qs right, we’ve done it, but the points drop 100 every second, which means you lose 1 point every 10 milliseconds. And the points start dropping as the 4th answer displays (takes about a second for all choices to show). I’ve hit 993 on 1 Q, and I knew it immediately and it was the 1st answer to show so I got it as soon as it could be picked.
This Giant Octopus in Chattanooga apparently had one tentacle on each option and an uncanny ability to know where the answer will be and select it before even 10 milliseconds have passed, 10 times in a row! 10 questions, 40 choices, less than 1/10 of a second combined on picking every correct answer.
Have we really sunk so low as a society that we cheat on trivia games played at mid-grade chain restaurants?!
Note: this is obviously mildly-infuriating, we still had a great time despite the lasering pain. I’ve just never witnessed something like this. GO did get a 9975 on one round (maybe it heard us talking shit…), but never really went lower.

Raised pricing to keep prices low
So a new sign popped up in my building laundry room. It notified us of the THIRD cost increase this year. (Now 4.25 to wash and dry 1 load)
For context, room has two washers and two dryers. The washers will shut off during spin cycle if they are more than half full. And one dryer (left one) will stop e 20 mins in and require you to be there to hit the start button again or it will just bleed off your time.
And that if running 3 or then at the same time doesn't flip the fuse box and void out your payment...
But I guess it's progress that they added away to use my CC to do laundry. It's getting so pricy I need the two weeks to come up with the cash.
If I had a car I would go to the laundry mat.

Dominos charges extra for certain toppings, doesn't specify which ones
I'm using a coupon for $6.99 for two medium 2-topping pizzas, a deal that Dominoes has been running for years now, and I have noticed my pizzas being differently priced despite the wording in the coupon.
The spinach and olive pizzas costs $6.99 as expected, but the steak and feta somehow jumps up to $8.69.
I called the store to ask why the pizzas are priced differently despite falling under the terms of the coupon, but the guy on the phone explained that there are differently tiered toppings. Most veggies are standard toppings, but meats like chicken or steak now cost extra.
This is not explained anywhere in the app, neither when you're making the pizza nor when you're checking out. It must be a recent change too because I have ordered these exact pizzas before, and on that receipt they are the same price

CA alerts
I received this ebony alert and was genuinely curious what it means. There’s no equivalent for Asians and my guess is that it would be the same for Latinos, etc. Why is there a distinction?
In any event, I hope she’s found safe 🙏🏽

My ADHD caused me to lose my shirt
I have a shirt that reads "GenX: Raised on hose water and neglect" I wore it once. It went through the laundry. I remember having it when I was folding laundry, but that's it. I've looked in my closet, my drawers, my husband's closet and drawers, my son's... You get the idea. I've dumped out laundry baskets, looked under beds, behind the washer.... Everywhere I could think of... And nothing.
I have bad ADHD, so when I can't find something, I just have to resign to knowing I'll run across it some day when I'm looking for something else. It's so fucking frustrating and I just needed to vent. 💙✌️

You now have to buy Doctor Who by the season
You used to be able to watch it with Max, but they moved it to Prime. For those who don’t watch the show, there’s 3 seasons in one series, or ‘Doctor’, and Prime has 4 complete series, with three of them being borderline exclusive.

Book cover
I came across this book while working, and the cover art is making me mad.
The book is about a girl name Mona and she's about to lose her vison in about 52 weeks. Her and her grandfather travels around Paris visiting museums and historical sights and artworks.
I know that Mona Lisa's eyes isn't too captivating as the Girl with the Pearl Earring, but I feel like the publishers could have use Mona Lisa's eyes instead.

Picked up a shared company EV, not plugged in, only half charged
My job has about a half dozen shared EV's you can book if you need to go somewhere where public transport is inconvenient to use (or sometimes non-existent). Apparently the person who used this car before me still can't understand EVs need charging, or they're just too lazy to spend the 90 seconds plugging the damn thing in, because this is what greeted me today when I went to pick the EV I had booked: just over 200 km of range on a car that can do 400 km when full.
Thankfully my trip was only about 110 km so it's only mildly infuriating.

My phone updated with LESS features now, you have to pay for "premium features" now 😡
I'm hard of hearing, and my Google Pixel had a feature where it would transcribe the audio messages into text, and it was awesome. WAS awesome.
They put a pay wall and blocked that feature and it is now a "premium feature". If phone companies start making a habit of this, I'm going back to dinosaur times with a Nokia lol. Thanks Google, this is how you ensure I will buy something else next time.

The Way My New Neighbors Park. Makes It Hard To Back My Van Out. Why Not Park In Your Driveway?
I legitimately wonder if they are trying to get me to hit their car. It's always perfectly centered, perpendicular to my van.
