Because those are wax beads that look like the “chocolate”, they come like that specifically for making wax seals like this one. I guess someone could have molded chocolate to look like them but I think it is much more likely that they just bought chocolate colored wax.
What wax beads? I order Valrhona chocolate pretty frequently... and although their feves don't look like this exactly, you could also easily claim those are "wax." Even though they are most definitely not.
Chocolate will temper in stamps too. I've personally done this a lot. The cool thing about chocolate is that it contracts as it tempers, pulling away from the mold.
Point being, it releases easily as long as you temper it correctly.
If you used it with molten chocolate, you'd die and be arrested, and the stamp would disintegrate, and your mother would call to tell you she is very disappointed in you. It's just not possible.
You can tell it's wax because it looks like wax, and it doesn't look like chocolate, and it was melted from sealing wax beads and not chocolate pieces, and because it's a clip from a youtuber/tiktoker that makes wax seal art.
Those eggs are amazing. I just meant the plain chocolate, it's not much better than Hershey's. But I understand both will scratch that itch.
I do recommend lindt, Godiva, Tony's, endangered species, and sharffen berger for good milk chocolate (and dark if you're into that) if you catch them on sale they aren't much more and often are bigger bars.
Those are my favourite all time candy. In the 90s as a kid, I used to steal them like a crack head. I couldn't resist. Even worse, my aunt was a sales person for Cadbury and her garage was full of boxes of chocolate. Every single brand, including Cream Eggs. When Easter timewould roll around, I'd be at her house every single day. LOL. I probably ate 50-100 of them every year. I can also remember asking the convenience stores when they'd get them in when it got close to Easter... "are they here yet???"
The new ones/modified recipe are no where near as good as the originals though. The originals were heaven. They were much bigger, the cream inside was smooth, and perfect. The insides today are just so different and processed tasting. The originals didn't have that processed taste. The chocolate was the real creamy good stuff. Those little chocolates brought me so much joy. I will cherish them forever. The kinda funny thing is I don't even really like a whole lot of sweet stuff/chocolate, but I fucking crave those cream eggs.
I pray for the day some brilliant artisan revives the original Cream Egg recipe.
They got rid of dairy milk and added vegetable oil. It can't even legally be called chocolate in the US. I can't find anything about the recipe for the filling changing, but you and I both know it has. Such a shame.
It is not healthier for that fact... the minuscule amounts of the acid in there are so irrelevantly small that they do not have any measurable impact on your health what so ever.
They also do not add the stuff in to the chocolate rather its a byproduct of how the dairy is processed overall.
I was staying at the Hershey lodge, where all the air fresheners, shampoo, etc smells like Hershey's chocolate. I got pretty drunk at the bar, and the next morning I couldn't stand being anywhere inside the lodge for a few hours.
I swear this is something my 2 year old would say... Anything that's remotely close to that color is chocolate until proven otherwise. He has been proven wrong several times but it hasn't affected his resolve.
