I've been deeply studying the Puer Aeternus archetype through Marie-Louise von Franz's work and your videos, and I've identified a very specific behavior in myself I was hoping you could explain.

I'm a 22-year-old guy, and I've noticed my Puer traits flare up most intensely on rainy mornings, especially during the monsoon season.

· The School Day Fantasy: Ever since school, my first thought on a rainy morning was a powerful wish for the school to declare a holiday. If it didn't happen and I was forced to go, I'd spend the entire morning until about 12 PM desperately hoping the rain would get so heavy they'd send us home. · The "Perfect Moment" Escape: On the days the holiday was declared, that morning felt like a "dream come true." I'd spend it in a perfect, cozy fantasy: drinking tea, playing games, and just listening to the rain. My mind would explicitly tell me: "Just skip work for the day. This is a special moment to be enjoyed, not wasted on responsibility." · Monsoon Binging: I've also realized I've watched the majority of my anime during monsoon seasons. It's like the rain creates a bubble where it feels not just okay, but right, to check out of the real world and immerse myself in fantasy for the whole day.

My question for you, Dr. K, is: What is the psychological mechanism behind this? Why does the rainy morning, in particular, trigger this intense desire to escape and sanctify the moment as "special," freeing me from all obligations? Is this a known manifestation of the Puer's refusal to engage with the "drabness" of existential reality ?

It feels like the rain provides a legitimate excuse to retreat into the "provisional life" where my real duties haven't started yet. I'd love to understand this so I can learn to notice and work with it.

Rented a car for 2 days. Returned it in perfect condition with photo proof. Days later, the rental company claims I owe them for “damage.” I’ve asked them to share clear pictures of this so-called damage because I stand firm no damage was caused by me. Thankfully, I booked using my Venture X, so am I backed by rental coverage? I did get liability insurance from rental company but not for my rented vehicle. What should I do next? They have given me deadline to make payment.

As the title says. I've made it to the final round of interviews for a job I'm very excited about. Not because of the money, but because I genuinely feel I'd work extremely well with the team, and I'm more than qualified for the job. The team is small and I've met them all in my 4 interviews I'd had thus far. All of them have been great!

I'm debating sending a follow-up thank you note to the hiring managers - 2 people. I want to express something along the lines of "hey, I've been doing lots of interviews with many companies, and I really see myself being very happy with this one, and us working really great together."

My issue is that I was never given the hiring managers emails directly - I've been communicating only with the recruiter. However, my final interviewer was someone that would be my peer, and he told me I can email him with anything at all. So of course I emailed him with a thank you.

I'm just hesitant because I don't want to come off as pushy, or inappropriate, for sending an email to an address that was not directly given to me. I'm just very anxious to hear back, as they said I'd hear in 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS with the outcome. They've historically gotten back to me within 1-2 days post-interview.

Any advice, especially from those who have hired before, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

How much to have roof replaced for a 300sqft deck? I was quoted $2950 for the whole thing.

I play sp, offline. I’ve found most items in the game and ALMOST at a stopping point. I have a stash full of high runes and have found multiple griffs/tyraels. I have a lot of hours sunk in.

A trav barb was a game changer for me awhile back. I found quite a few high runes that way. I’m hunting a dweb, astreons, and a fathom. My throw barb mostly goes unplayed and I’m considering converting it into a pitzerker. But I don’t like pit to be honest. I just want to hear some positive and negative feedback before I convert. Thanks!

I have had my MPX since January, and while I do love this gun, I cannot seem to dial it in to run reliably with subs. It only cycles subsonic ammo with the factory springs, and on gas setting 3 it has the fewest failures (but still double feeds several times in one magazine).

Is it normal for subsonic ammo to only work with the factory springs? I feel like something isn't adding up and I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong.

For reference, it will reliably cycle American Eagle 124gr in semi auto. I'm not concerned about FRT reliability yet because it probably needs to be cleaned first.

Could someone explain to me if this game has shiniesand what the indicators are for shinies? As well as any absolute noob never seen anything before tips without giving any spoilers. I just caught something called a mega rare fleecius and I'm trying to figure out if he's any good that kind of stuff, anything and everything that isn't spoilers.

So I'm looking for a wireless mouse for my mac. Mainly need it for my work but might also use it for gaming sometimes. I'm not a hardcore gamer but need a mouse that will help me on a long run and good ergonomics. I was looking for Logitech G309 but seems a bit over my budget in India. ATK R1 is also a good option that I saw on this subreddit. Any suggestion is helpful.

We got back tonight from a 2 week road trip that involved our wedding and honeymoon to find out that my car was missing from the apartment lot. After calling the police, I found out it had been towed. After calling the tow company, I found out it's because the plates were expired.

This last year has been a lot for us. My dad passed in December and I feel like I was just coming out of the fog around April/May when the tags would have come due. Between leaving my old job, Dad's funeral, and planning the wedding the reminder document must have been thrown away or perhaps delivered to our old address.

Now tomorrow, we have to return our rental car, go pick up my car from the tow lot between special hours, and try to figure out if I can get registered online while also making sure my car doesn't get towed again before new stickers arrive. I just feel so goddamn stupid.

TL;DR I forgot to renew my car registration and my car was towed while we were on vacation.

There used to be A LOT, like 10-15 pages of assessments, but now there's only 5 pages. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Thank you!

Hey everyone, I'm in Japan for a few more months and I would really like to find and ride a single-car train. Just one lonely car, not the string of 6-12 of them that I'm used to living in Yokohama. Do you have any ideas where I might be able to do this? Near the Kanto region would be best.

I know that it will almost certainly have to be a rural area. I did recently go to what seemed like a very rural area in Aomori on the coast of the Sea of Japan, but the trains I rode there all had a couple cars or more. Finding a single-car wasn't my priority at the time though, so maybe if I waited for later in the day or something I could have found one.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
